Women at the checkout - That really grinds my gears!

So rather then wasting just your own time, waste the time of everyone in the queue behind you and the cashiers too ? I'd rather spend time organizing in my own house than in public + wasting other peoples time.

Some people can do it just as fast as it's given to them, meaning it's done before they ask for the card.;)

Mine always do :(, I can barely have 3 bottles of beer in them cheap rubbish plastic bags without them breaking when cycling somewhere, I wasted 2 bottles of beer once out of 3 this way: Bag broke, fell and broke 2/3rds of the content :(.

Must be the way you pack then.:p I can get away with a couple of bottles of fizz, some tins and flour/marg/bananas etc. filling it to the brim and struggling to carry it without it breaking. The bounciness of the bag when it's that heavy is odd however...:p

The general public walking about town annoy me. People slow you down and get in your way.

Maybe there is something weird with me, I go focused knowing where Im going and what i'm buying...

Most people just float about it seems clueless.

Women with pushchairs... argh!!

People that are walking about at 2pm on a weekday?! Get a job.. do something with your life!

Exactly the same thing annoys me... This seems to happen more at weekends though - Peoples brains simply turn off... Also, people who decide to hold conversations in the middle of doorways / walkways etc... Just move to one side so others can walk by unimpeded!!!

still at least she didnt unpack her entire bag contents onto the checkout to find the right card ehh :D

what does my head in is...mules :p

2 - 4 people all standing in a queue accompanying the one person who is paying/buying stuff.

IF you arent buying something then gtfo of the damn queue!

The day I put my own shopping through the till will be the day they give me 10% off. Probably never.

Get over yourself! If you think your too good to put your own shopping through a self-serve then you can hardly complain about people being slow at the checkouts!

What gets me is when you and your wench go shopping at the supermarket, you start unloading the vast quantity of goods you never knew you needed but she seems to think you did, then halfway through she buggers off to get that item she's forgot and leaves you to pack the bags!

This too, does my nut. They never look where they are going and don't seem to care either, expecting the other person to move out the way.

It's even worse on busy footpaths, i seem to spend my life dodging out the way, and when I decide enough is enough I end up mashing sholders with them. How do these people walk past each other on a daily basis without destroying their sholders? No wonder there are so many fights! On that note I was on oxford street last winter and half moved out of the way for some bloke, who didn't himself, he then starts shouting abuse.... ****

I wish i had the courage to say sod it and just walk in a straight line down the high street and not move at all for anyone...

Yeh!

In your face public!

I'd probably end up in a fight though

I will say that the thing that actually makes me more angry than anything is lack of manners.

Held a door open for a guy in work the other day (he works in a different office, so don't know him from adam). Not a nod, a thanks or even a smile. He seemed shocked that I pulled him up about it and said "you are welcome, by the way".

how about ppl who clearly have more than 20 items in the "self service" "about 20 items or less" isle when its my lunch break and there are horrendous ques everywhere?!

what about old ppl with trolleys who STOP dead (pun) in the middle of an isle to peruse a shelf?! why dont they move the trolley to the side so i can get past fo sho?!

Well why should I do somebody out of a job and still pay the company the same money?

Some people have no manners.

But for anyone that has worked or works in a restaurant...

Whenever someone goes out to eat they become hideous creatures that have no respect or manners..

Customers in restaurants are terrible

I was in Sainburys the other day and it was very busy. The women in front of me had a lot of shopping which was fair enough. I just got in the queue and decided to wait it out. When she got to pay, she got her handful of vouchers out of her purse and started to go through them. There was one which the woman and the checkout lady were having a discussion over. She wasn't sure whether she should use it or not as she wasn't sure if she would save enough money with it. After a lengthy discussion she decided that she would use it. But just as the checkout girl was about to scan it in, she changed her mind and thought it would be better used another time! All that for nothing.

When I go to the checkout, I just bung all my stuff on the conveyer about and manage to not take up too much space while still maintaining a good speed. Then while I wait, I will open up any bags I have in my trolley if I have brought any with me ready to put stuff in. I will then find my Nectar card and my debit card ready for payment and put them in my pocket. Once it is my turn I'll have quick chat with the checkout person while shoving stuff in to open bags in a logical manner while still attaining a high speed. If I haven't managed to bag everything before all my items are scanned, I will stop bagging temporarily and hand over my Nectar card and insert my debit card in to the machine and pay. While the card machine does its thing, and at other convienient points, I continue to load the rest of my shopping so not to waste time. My cards go in to my pocket so not to waste more time and my receipt goes in one of the bags. I get out of the way as quickly as possible, so the person behind me can be served. Once I'm out of the way, I'll put my cards back in my wallet and do anything else that needs to be done before a I leave.

Easy!
