20.Feb.2022. After succeeding 28 Wordles, I had my first fail today!

At line 5, I figured it must be a word that I didn't know, but I couldn't resolve the 1st and 3rd letters. So I entered a final word that was obviously incorrect (but still a valid word) just to abandon today's game.

Without knowing your first word, that looks like such an illogical second guess. You've had to guess that the answer includes a double letter that you didn't even have any information about from your first guess.

First time I've had to spend more than about 5 minutes thinking about it. 5th guess took a LOT of pondering just to get any word at all that could fit.

As I said, lucky guess. From the letters I had and the ones used in the first guess I was stumped. Went and did something else, nothing.

Went and did nerdl and came back to it and thought I'd have to try a double letter and was the first word that popped into my head.

I'd heard of it, wasn't sure of the spelling and still had to look it up after it being correct

As I say, lucky guess !
