How many of you try and "beat" the game and how many of you just put in weird words and just wing it. The only rules I have are to try and get A and E into my first word. Then the other vowels if I don't hit anything.

Kind of takes the fun away if you try and "outwit it"

Yes. The only gaps I have since I started in my stats are when I do it on mobile vs desktop.

I'm doing well thus far, had some difficult ones, made some daft mistakes a few times (re-using excluded letters or letters in the same place when that's been already highlighted) but just about to get them all. I force myself to not read the forum first though because just knowing it's not a regular word can be a huge hint.

This is basically the same as for me. I try a different word first time with A, E and probably a T in it too if I can.

I aim for speed rather than fewest goes.

Tbh, I'm beginning to think you can't lose if you play on easy mode. I'm at 13 per my stats, but I was on about 18 before getting bumped to the NYT version and losing my history. So about 31 without loss in total.
