Gave Octordle a go. It's good, but it's too easy now that I've figured out a system. Of course, I could just not use that system, but I don't want to lose either.
I've just discovered this and find it 8x more satisfying than Wordle. I'm curious about this system you mention but don't want to ruin the game so I don't think you should tell me.
EDIT: I might have just worked it out.
There are enough attempts so that you can literally use every single letter in the alphabet (bar one!) in the first five attempts. This then gives you the remaining eight to guess all the words - but you must get each one in one.
EDIT2: Hmm, not as easy as it sounds trying to find five words that use all the letters! I bet there is a way.

Your hypothesis is absolutely correct, and yeah, it took days to come up with five words that used 25/26 letters. If anything, that was much more fun/challenging than the game has been since!
Beck on a winning Street after a nightmare the days ago when I had the last four letters green but there were multiple choices for the first letter, wasted 4 guesses and lost.
I should have used my third/fourth guess to try multiple new letters.....
