Work shift preference?

I currently do 7:30-3:30 and I wouldn't want to change that (on a permanent basis at least).

I love seeing daylight after work, even during winter.

I do 4pm to 2am mon to thu so nice long weekends (3.5days) and up at 9.30 am on the days i do work .
in those shifts listed i would choose the early one

Get it out of the way early, definitely. I finish at 4 and its amazing, no rush hour traffic to deal with, you can get a head start at the gym too. Getting up is hard but only for the first week, and obviously after any sessions down the pub!

Officially I do 08:00-16:00 ... in actual fact I tend to do 07:00-15:45 normally (it's a lot easier for me with public transport and I prefer to get up and go straight to work and then have a longer free evening time rather than have a period of fairly useless free time before work).

Flexi - I can work what I like within reason.

I'm currently doing 07:30 to 18:00 Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri and taking every Wednesday off to look after the kids, saving on child care.

Miss the heavy traffic round here at those times as well :-)

Sometimes I do a 10:00 to 15:00 on a Friday for a lovely short day :-) Lie in and leaving early on the same day rocks :-)

Currently working 9:00 - 17:30 but changing to 11:30 - 20:00 as i'm just not getting on with the 9 starts.

Since I am a night owl, 10 - 6 or 11 - 7 would suit me best especially as it would mean you could go out on a skool night and the travel to and from work would be quiet and hence shorter.

In saying that I currently come into work early so I can go home early which I love in summer as it gives you great long evenings. Getting up at 5.10am is a PITA though.

My other half works 4 x 12 hour shifts, 6am-6pm then has 4 days off. Long hours for someone who's nearly 57 but the 4 days off are good :D
He's just had 12 days off but only used 4 days holiday.

I used to do 3 on / 3 off 12 hour shifts, best I've ever done I think. It makes so much sense because you're at work the same amount of days you're off.

do 9-6 or 8-5 at my place. Prefer 9-6 for the extra time in the morning (read sleep!) but actually prefer 8-5 for the slightly longer evening

I'd love a job like that, or 4 12 hour shifts 3 days off, what gets me the most is getting up in the morning and waste a whole day :D, I'd rather work 12 hours 3 or 4 times and have an extra day.

Some jobs my gf used to get really ****ed me off (mind you it was retail), she'd work 2-4 hour shifts everyday, I'd felt like calling up her employers and asking them what is the **** point?

I work 10-6 which means i can get up at 7.30, leave the house for 8.15, jog to the gym for 9, work out for 40min, shower change and be at work at 10... Only downside is as most people finish at 5 at work they go to the pub without me and i have to play catch up :D

I work..

9 - 5, Mon - Thu,
9 - 4, Fri

I'd rather 6 - 2, and could do it, but early mornings + baby could finish me off at the moment.
