Working 9-6, with a 30 minute dinner break, what other breaks should you be getting? Is it legal for the employer to give you non?

I get two 15 minute breaks, and a 1 hour unpaid lunch break. Also unplanned break of around 10 minutes per day for a smoke. This is for a 8 or 10 hour shift.

As an adult worker (over 18), you will normally have the right to a 20 minute rest break if you are expected to work more than six hours at a stretch.

I used to get 1 hour lunch break and 2 x 15 min "tea" breaks when working 9 hour shift at a super market. Hes not asking for much.

Nope, I've only been doing the job for a week. On my feet most of the day doing things. It's been literally non stop since I started and I thought it was a shame we didn't get any breaks in the afternoon as my back was in agony for some reason. Didn't want to bring it up to the boss incase I got shouted at.

My previous job, 1st-line support, 8½ man-hours + 30 mins unpaid lunch 08:30-17:30 including time to make coffee... so about 10 minutes paid free time in that 9 hours.

Working 8-5 that is all JCB give for the office staff.

This is by biggest fear about employment, 5 hours from 12-5 seems impossible to work continually.
