Working Christmas

I don't start work till 6pm on Christmas Day this year so at least I'll get most of the day free and as a bonus when all the good stuffs finished like opening pressies and pigging out, I'll disappear when all the tidying and washing up starts.

Worked last xmas, was quiet and had to work, never again, pointless, more to life than money. Shame some business's feel the need to open while the owners/bosses have xmas off.

tbh perfect xmas would be finish xmas eve at 3pm go back on 29th
then finish 31st at 3pm till 3rd

Depends where you work. Most businesses can survive without bosses for a few days. If they want to take a few days off, then you aren't really in a place to argue.

What an odd statement cheets. Some businesses have to take advantage of the Xmas business, doesn't mean senior management need to be in though.

Working in the pub christmas eve and boxing day, plus all the days around them, but have new years off. Kind of gutted not to be working christmas day itself this year, double time and a pint off of almost every customer who came in made last time pretty good :D

Working xmas day, not really unless its a vital service, and then its only one day of the year.

They have 364 days to make money.

If some of the systems I look after crashed then maybe a mobile phone network would go down, a major broadband provider, banking and credit card systems

while I agree re corpoarate profits the general public wouldn't be impressed
