Bookies have been laughing since the start of the WC tbh...the teams that should be spanking others arent doing so....ive already lost quite a bit of money on Spain, Germany and England in the last few days...stupid accumilators lol.

Next week i start my betfair in running as last time round i was pretty successful at it...put in £100 and came away with £2k at the end of the 2006 WC....even the Euro2008 i won about £1k with £100 starting balance.

I'm just using the free bets and matching them on betfair. Just over £120 up so far and that'll rise to £150 after tonights match. Would have been more but matching £50 high odds bets on betfair is expensive so I've had to accept a slightly lower return but who cares when it's free money.

I always take a tenner out and see how far I get in summer tournaments. In Euro 2008 I got to the quarter finals and Turkey/Croatia. I must have put on 30 bets in total, but as I was rushed I forgot to back a draw. I also for some reason decided against predicting any draws; Croatia and Turkey had both been scoring for fun and it looked like happening again. Also it looked like one of them would win in normal time.

It got to the 119th minute and Croatia scored,..Turkey then equalised into injury time. It ended 1-1 and went to penalties. :mad:

I've already err used my tenner up when idiot Podolski didn't take ANY of his chances yesterday. :(

germany got beaten by serbia, i doubt they could win, i know it was with ten men, but still. they missed a penalty and were really poor.

argentina and brazil final is what looks to be shaping up from what ive seen so far.

i know argentina dont have much of a defence. burdisso, heinze and samuel should be starting every match and they should have taken zanetti for right back, but gutierrez might do a good enough job so long as they keep scoring.

messi, milito, tevez, aguero, higuain, di maria

now thats an impressive set of attacking players.

mascherano and veron as holding players.

very solid.

mascherano played left/right back for liverpool once i cant remmeber which, maybe he could do it for argentina? but hes better in the middle.
 
I put £10 on an Argentine and Brazil final before the world cup started, should get me £150 if it comes in. Also got £10 on Spain + Brazil final, nothing on Germany though...
 
My friend has Argentina to win World Cup with Higuain as top scorer in one bet.....he got 50/1 and placed £10 after i told him it was a very good bet which it seems so afterall....gutted i didn't place it but then again long way to go.
 
What do you reckon my chances are of finishing my £540 accumulator?
