World Cup Bets

Looking through the games today. Major chances for making money, even bigger chances losing money. Not one game jumps out to me as a safe(ish) bet.

How do you guys feel about USA v Ghana?

Backing and laying to make a profit either way.

Example in the Isner/Mahut game:

10-10* final set, Isner to serve - Isner 1.84, Mahut 2.14. Lay Mahut here, expecting Isner to hold.

15-0, Isner 1.8, Mahut 2.2. 30-0, Isner 1.74, Mahut 2.26.

If Isner wins the game he'd go about 1.66 and Mahut 2.34 - this is where you back Mahut. When Mahut serves, you lay Isner at 1.66 and back if MAhut holds, as he'd go back to 1.84 or so, as Mahut HAS to hold his serve to stay in, so Isner's always going to be the shorter price as they started off the same price pre-match.

A lot easier to do in tennis as there's more points to play for whereas football there's usually not many goals in a game but odds change dramatically when a goal is scored or there's a red card.

Yeah, I was contemplating trading out of my position for guaranteed profit, but I'm not sure now, might just risk it, it does seem quite safe especially as Chile only have 10 men and can't control their tackles.
 
Probably best now to bet big seeing a few of the weaker teams is still kicking about. Once the quaters and semis are upon us, you're talking big risks. At the moment bets are a tad more certain. Or rather, the percentages are more kind.
 
Well Im happy, my first world cup win, Spain won both the match and group so I finished with net winnings of £838.92

An England win on Sunday will complete my weekend!

Some other free bets I currently have (from william hill promotion):
David Villa Top scorer or to place (1-4) - £60 or £20 respectively
Spain vs Brazil final - would get £120
Brazil vs Argentina final - would get £150
 
Damn i can't decided between USA Vs Ghana to win.


Going for Uruguay and one of the above to win with Nadal on a Treble .

This was my first bet, a £20 accumulator, my second bet was £100 on Spain to top the group after they lost to switzerland, odds were 2.90

Think I'm pretty lucky really, especially with all the favourites losing and draws in the first week.

Uruguay beat S.Korea
USA beat Ghana
Argentina beat Mexico
Holland beat Slovakia
Brazil beat Chile

50p at 15.56/1

Start with small bets to make the big money.
 
Forlan to score first e/w - 4/1
Over 2.5 goals - 13/8

Only a couple of small ones, but i'm hopefull. Had Drogba e/w yesterday, annoyingly.
