World Cup Group B (England, Paraguay, Trinidad and Tobago, Sweden) **SPOILERS**

I'll be watching him closely.

I just hope he doesn't get booed from the start by the England fans. That would hardly help his performance.

Its good to see that our last 16 match will either be next Saturday or Sunday at 4pm. Its much better than having a midweek game. Also, either Argentina or Holland will be playing either Portugal or Mexico in the later game. I feel a session coming on! :)

ok here the not so unlikely scenario, draw against Paraguay ,lose to Sweden........its the WC ffs. I genuinely believe England are one of the best sides there but Crouch IMHO is not the finished article....and if Gerrard and Lampard dont play as they should then it could be very tough.

lmao

I think Hargreaves is a damn good player. I just don't think his style is suited to our game, this comes from playing in Germany. Perhaps we might be better starting with Carrick but you never know, Hargreaves might have a cracking game tonight and suprise us all.

i bet you anything rooney will attack more than hargreaves

and track back more than hargreaves :P

and to think torres looks real young and his 2 years older than rooney

Hargreaves is only in there because hes the best tackler out of the fringe midfielders

Carrick cant tackle for a fart but would be first choice for me, his passing is fantastic

i think carrick is better, he can pivot between the midfield and def

to provide triangular passing options for both defence and midfield

rooney can provide triangiular passing options between midfield/wingers/owen

i bet you hargreaves loses ball a few times just in front of the defence

was trying to emphasize rooney will do more attacking AND

Defending than hargreaves

but he wont be more sarcastic than you :P

It was a joke! :)

How can you say Rooney will do more defending than Hargreaves? Hargreaves will spend all match sweeping up in midfield whilst Rooney will probably be told not to bother tracking back as we are playing a defensive midfielder today.

hargreaves has no composure on the ball, yes he is fast and yes he looks

like he tracks well but he gets wrong footed easily

i bet rooney will track back more on counter attacks he always does :P

has the format changed, 4 games 2 at 3pm, 2 at 8pm now?

i guess this a good idea, so no team in one group get the advantage of playing for a result based on the other group match since they are
played simulataneously

West Germany needed to win and Austria need to avoid defeat by 4 goals, so after West Germany scored after about 10 mins they played out the rest ofthe game without trying and both progressed.
