Looks like Dell have been playing ping pong with the website pricing going by other replies etc!
Apologies I got distracted and forgot!
Regarding the icc profile from Dell, I only installed the driver so it's seen as the correct monitor etc in Device Manager, then uninstalled from Apps/Software any Dell/Alienware installs as the driver itself remains on the system. I then manually disabled/removed the Dell icc profile in Windows because it makes the colours look wrong/washed out in certain things like Windows Photo Viewer, Lightroom etc.
By removing the icc profile and leaving colour management in Windows blank (tick the box to "use my settings for this device", you then get a direct sRGB output between OS and GFX card and display so everything looks as it should in every app.
(I am assuming you don't work in DCI P3 for any work btw so everything is sRGB which for 99% of us is the case I would bet)
No other specific software though but if you browse a lot of streaming sites, then Ultrawideo is a really good browser extension you can install that makes viewing mixed aspect ratio stuff a breeze on a 21:9 monitor. I did a video about it to highlight key points after Vincent's video said this monitor was bad for movies

Yep it seems reddit is more and more filled with this sort of thing which is a shame as normally in the past, smaller subs were kinda close nit but with a larger audience for everything these days, those sorts of people seem more in your face now :/
I have to say I have noticed that on this replacement, that text fringe is less obvious up close. There's obviously some panel variances at play here but from a normal distance both monitors were fine, but up close it's hard to spot any red fringing any more, something that I could spot when pixel peeping just with my eyes up close previously. I have not re-done cleartype though so maybe the previous screen's cleartype adjustments are more in favour on this one.
Will check out those tools, looks interesting!
On a side note, I just checked the Dell returns status out of curiosity and noticed this statement:
Wonder how much I would have to pay to keep the /faulty/ (marks on screen) part, if it's a low figure then might actually work out quite lucrative in a resale after I give it some elbow grease and clean it off?
I've been playing God of War with HDR, 144Hz refresh but the game nominally runs at 120fps ish or more on my 3080 Ti. This feels utterly smooth and the response feels like I am on a wired gaming mouse (used to have Logitech G series and also have had Zowie/Endgame mice)..
Can't even imagine 240Hz because QD-OLED just feels much faster than the number suggests, as someone said earlier, Cyberpunk 60fps feels like 100fps on this monitor, assuming your system can maintain 60fps of course
Don't forget guys the 40xx series will require a new PSU, have you seen the supposed power requirements of them?! Unless you have a 1000watt PSU then factor that in as well
