World first QD-OLED monitor from Dell and Samsung (34 inch Ultrawide 175hz)

I noticed something on this replacement that wasn't something I noticed on the first monitor regarding fan noise. The fans go off much quicker on this one. For example if I power it off and a pixel refresh isn't due, then within 30 mins the fans will go off. But if a pixel refresh is due and it runs, then as soon as the refresh finishes, the fans also go off. This can be repeated each time it seems.

Then if I power on the monitor and then immediately off again, the fans will be on for another 30 mins or so.

The fan behaviour is very strange lol.

I was back on 16:9 for today I feel robbed like even fast paced warzone I just didn't feel like I was as good. I think I'm definitely sold on UW. Tomorrow best get some answers for a replacement.

Well guys im Back. I need this one. Nothing more to Say :D
How much I bitched about the Smar Vet FOV yada yada..

The more I game on my CX in UW, the more I like it. So hey, I will take that 27 size vert space, and live with it. As you guys says - the UW format will make up for it. This is just a dream monitor, and something that I cant miss!

Now give me the darn thing and if I must bitch about that FOV, let me do it all alone..LOL!

Oh and thanks for the awesome review. Love it, and it just forced me to reconsider!

Probably was, ocuk sent me some stuff to review from time to time!

Even though Dell never sent me a review sample, in fact they've gone MIA on the PR front  - I figured I'd still write a review and maybe help inform others. Plus from the view ratings I should be able to get back some additional £ making the purchase even more lucrative :D

I knew I had the ruler of truth somewhere, found it and adjusted the monitor to wall distance each side to perfection :D

Hmmm interesting one, anyone else find the Xbox game pass app has some form of flickering? Not sure if this is that VRR flicker or something else, I've not noticed it globally as such but if I'm just sat in the Xbox app fullscreen (dark theme) then gamma level appears to change.

Hmm in your nvidia control panel is gsync set to full screen only? That's the default value so just incase it's set to all the time it could be vrr in that case. Failing that, XBOX app itself if nothing else is doing it.

It was checked for Fullscreen and Windowed, unchecked it, but still see the issue. Don't think that requires a reboot or anything.

Need someone else with Xbox/Game Pass app to test it.

Also under torch some marks at the top of my screen not sure exactly same as yours, I an only see then under torchlight. Most prominent about an inch from the top horizontally but I also see fainter marks horizontally further down, might be from the bubble wrap being pressed on the screen, could clear up with a clean maybe.

In just installed it to check (quick enough since it's a store app lol). No flicker here with the app window maximised. 144Hz and gsync on full screen only. My phone cam doesn't even pick up any flicker here.

The lines/marks sound like the classic bubble sheet marks - Others have used isopropyl alcohol on a cloth to get rid so could try that?
