World first QD-OLED monitor from Dell and Samsung (34 inch Ultrawide 175hz)

I've got about 30 dead pixels on my C9 but no burn in. All the dead pixels are along the edges of the panel and the C9 panel is stupidly thin with no protection against flex so I think the TV may have been damaged at some point during moving it around. Either that or there must be some scientific reason why all my dead pixels are on the panel edge

I have a E9 in the living room and it's been perfect. I think that slab of glass on the E9 definitely helps to reinforce and protect the screen. No burn in. C2 in the bedroom. Also no burn in. Fingers crossed with the new Dell QD-OLED when it arrives

That may be the case, not spotted any on my 55in B7 as yet.

Just ordered. Expected delivery date is currently 14/11. However, my expectations are for thos to dramatically change to a much layer date. I assume there has been an increase in sales and its Dell. Happy with the £665 price.

Anyway of adjusting text instead of backgrounds? I'm trying to have a slightly brighter white background while having white text on black back grounds not so eye burning

there is no such monitor setting, increase brightness increases it for everything. It's up to the software you use to give you a text color or brightness option, most software doesn't. Microsoft office doesn't give text brightness but you can change text color to a darker color like grey. Netflix allows text brightness for subtitles to be changed. So yeah it's down to what software you're using. Some games allow changing the brightness of text and UI when using HDR

HDR1000 mode is recommended for gaming too? What you guys doing for Warzone? is 400 mode just a less garish version of HDR basically so easier on the eyes? I'm just preparing myself for when I get my hands on the monitor on the weekend!

I received aw3423dwf on Monday and blown away with the few games with HDR support like Cyberpunk 2077 and Horizon zero dawn.

There are a lot of games that dont support HDR thiugh. I am on Windows 10 and have been avoiding Windows 11 but read it has auto HDR for older games. Do you guys recommend upgrading to Windows 11 or better to get round the problem by using ReShade presets or mods?

Yeah I think HDR 1000 is better for gaming - download HDR calibration tool from the windows store as well.

Considering how poor OLED monitors are in SDR upgrading is a must.

Not all games support AUTO HDR by default but there is little tool that forces AUTO HDR on any dx11 and above game, even multiplayer ones.
