World in Conflict Open Beta Keys Giveaway

Anyone got any benchmarks of this game yet? I heard 24fps in DX10 with a GTX :(, pathetic, you watch, 2900XT's getting 45fps average :o

Any one using a 2900XT and Vista 64.

fonts are all screwed up.

yes but that's with very high settings and it does like very good

Still, with Very High settings there should be no reason your getting 24fps average with a GTX, I guess we need some propor coded and optimized DX10 content, I think Crysis and Bioshock will run better.

What drivers were you using?

I would rather have 24fps than that above tbh

Will be posting what i get when i get home. I suspect an nvidia driver will be out to cover this shortly as was the case with both COH and Planet thingy :p

Also as far as proper coded content goes, nvidia had a big say in this game to showcase DX10, infact they are even hosting the beta download on their own sites and info on all the DX10 features. As far as DX10 goes this is probably the most optimized code released to date, the new cards just arent good enough to hack it yet. There will be a driver release shortly i assure you the will improve performance but dont ever expect to see DX10 at 100fps on any 8series ever

4xFSAA, 1680x1050....its quite possible. there's a lot of detail in those textures. certainly, it should be better, but i dont think its quite as bad as you believe. still, ill try the new beta's and see.

On an 8800GTX I was expecting at least 35 average, anything below 25 is unplayable for me.

I agree, Was expecting atleast 30-35 on average, I ran DX9 on XP with 162.18 & the performance wasn't the best either.

No! I'm unbelievably annoyed right now.

I was downloading the game, and had just sat down ready to install it as it reached 97%. Then, for no reason whatsoever, my router reset itself. So, upon the router restarting, I assumed the download would continue, but no. It's just frozen, hasn't moved for 15 minutes now, even though it says it downloading at 235 Kb/s. See below:

How can I get the download to continue? The only option I have is to click Cancel, but clearly that's not going to help. Am I going to have to download it again? Help!
