People have had upto 1 year bans for the dungeon exploit it seems.
Really? Haven't seen anything official confirming bans yet

How has he taken it?I know someone on another forum got a one month ban and all their profits deleted, because they showed us the notification e-mail.
I don't see how they've messed up exactly? Layering was a necessary evil due to huge popularity and it had some unintended side effects which are now being fixed, and those exploiting them are starting to get repercussions. If someone is still abusing layering, and you know about, submit a bug report - if you don't you're only as bad as those carrying out the exploits in the grand scheme of things.
Far from ruined, what a dramatisation.

It wasn't tested properly, they did not put an appropriate delay between swapping layers.
Blizzard completely underestimated the popularity Classic would achieve, they've outright said as much. If you can't see why it was needed, for what they were trying to achieve - an as near seamless as possible launch - then you should perhaps lower your expectations, if Blizzard are truly that terrible in your view.15 black lotus per day, People still going to 60 0 lotus per day erm people already have had huge advantages in phase 1 this probably now ties into day 6 Ragnaros which in turn makes trivia of the game. People have been cheating the legion API and why do you say stupid things like necessary evil? Haha so you are telling me then they can not just repeat what happened in classic and launch with 15 servers in the EU? You have to layer it and launch with four do ya and then add more do you realize how dumb this sounds?
At no point ever was Layering required, Wow classic never had it because it can be exploited. They tried to cheap out and be arrogant and now everyone is affected by thier mistakes. Will they trace every bit of gold gained and traded by this method? Nope remember when they said they looked into the exploits and it was vastly overblown? And then the news drops that you can make 10,000 gold from layering abuse lol.
I'm not saying it was properly tested; but they are putting measures in place to mitigate against it going forward...It wasn't tested properly, they did not put an appropriate delay between swapping layers.

Well you asked how have blizzard messed up. The one major change from vanilla is layering and its messed up the ecosystem within a couple of weeks.
Also this exploit has been known for nearly 2 weeks. Only now are they trying to fix it. Really not acceptable for such an established company.
How does layering ruin your personal experience? My game isn't affected by other people cheating and risking a potential ban. Layering was required unfortunately, there was no perfect solution, they couldn't host 100 servers only to have 80 dead servers in 6 months time or whatever, they needed a scalable server solution, and layering works.
