Agree with this - the Elwyn forest music is magical - duskwood was one of my favourite areas too - Mor La Dim fight (think that was his name) is still epic - that whole zone from the music to the art style is so full of character

That's because everyone has instant quest text turned on.

To be fair when you played back in the day you could spend a decent amount of time working out where to go for each quest, even with Thottbot you'd have to read through comments and decipher what people meant. It's definitely not a game for people who want their hands holding.
 
I see a few people here have been mentioning how they don't like LFD and LFR and they don't want them in classic - I agree 100% with this. However I think they should activate summoning stones in the new vanilla as this was something that wasn't activated until either just before or during TBC!!

Also a world wide LFG channel in Vanilla wouldn't be a bad thing at all.

Hogger wasn't in the start zone! he was in Elwynn Forest.

I am following with a lot of interest but doubt I will re-sub and play again. I have so many fond memories of my first run through vanilla, but would never be able to commit the time to be even close to what I achieved before, so don't know how I would feel about trying to do it all again! Definitely from a PVE perspective I would never be able to clear all content like I did in original vanilla :(
 
I am 99% sure I will re-sub for Classic next year. I have 2 kids, wife going to uni all being well and a job to hold down. It will be hard to get time like I did when I started in TBC but even if it's just a few months of subbing to play classic it will be worth it. I certainly think there should be OcUK guilds for this. One for each faction if people are divided between the two.

Must mean they are playing on retail surely, I dont think the classic servers are actually up at the moment, if they were there would be tons and tons of people streaming it.
