I've literally come into this game as get away from Destiny 2 for a while. I know nothing about it to be honest, just getting started. I do have multiple family members as long time players though.

well. You can add friends in battle.net and in game. you can only add friends ingame who are in the same realm but battle.net friends can be anyone. so i guess its char based

Will be interesting to see what they do with this. They could go authentic and only have your character friends available for chat, though I think the chat interface in the demo was from the modern version judging by the videos.

As long as they only use it for launch week(s) I'm ok with it, any longer and it will quickly alienate old school players.

So I missed the boat yesterday and asked via chat if the BFA includes the base game (not stated on the their site anywhere). They subsequently upgraded me to base game with 1 month game time

I know what I'll be doing now!!

I may have caved and bought it

I also had yesterday afternoon off so ran a few chars to Level 5 to get a feel for classes. Tried Mage, Druid and Warlock. Mage was my preference to boosted with my 110 token. Will run warlock through the levels slowly for resources but I'm really enjoying it so far.
