World of Warcraft: Classic

Grats on the dagger! I'm super jealous, I've not had much time to play over the past few weeks. I have 5 different alts on the same server, different classes all overing around lv30. I just don't have time to focus on one so jump in and split my time between them.

What's all this AOE dungeon rubbish? I've been in a few groups now, as a tank, where I'm told to pull a room to around a corner and then the mages will AOE the mobs down. Except it's always a mess, I die a lot, they then kill everything so I get no XP, walk in, rinse and repeat. People are trying shortcuts and it just ends up taking longer. What a load of toss.

As a tank, I'd expect you to be able to get groups very quickly and easily. So I'd just call it out not to do it, if they do. Leave and get another group. No point wasting time.

Started fresh on a new server, playing alliance. I've gone for something I've NEVER played, on a race I hate(d) and on the side I've never played on...

A female night elf druid... And I'm loving it! It was nice starting from scratch, druid leveling is fun, it's very basic at the moment as I'm only Lv16, but I'm excited to get cat form at Lv20 but won't be using it until I've fleshed out some talents to support it properly.

I might start a guild on my server for one insanely selfish reason... Lottery. The guild I'm currently in are not that big, fairly active. They do a weekly lottery, the guild takes 20% of the pot and the winner gets the remaining 80%. There is an addon that controls it, the player simply sends 50s per ticket to the character hosting the game, 25 tickets max. No alts. The pot was something like 950g this week!

They should rename alliance on pvp servers to corpse runners took us over an hour just to get in brm the other night must have been over 100 horde outside the instance

Levelling up now is a pig I'm level 55 trying to do simple quests takes an age had 2 lvl 60s watching my back in un goro crater till we gave up as a dozen lvl 60 horde show up corpse camping

Going give it a miss and reroll on a pve I dont mind pvp but this is ridiculous

Same here, Horde seem a lot more focused on ganking than alliance. At least from my view on my server. It's super annoying. But I signed up for a PvP server so I'll just crack on with it.

Welp, got sick of leveling so took a break on my new Druid. Lv24, I was sat in Hillsbrad farms ganking poor Horde. Mostly mages aoe farming. As they were all my level, more often than not, a few higher. I was raking in honour. I got 32 kills within an hour! Did I feel terrible? Absolutely. Do I regret it? Not one bit.

It was a lot of fun, at one point, there were high level Horde searching all over on their mounts for me, so I'd hide away in stealth, go make a tea, watch a youtube video and then get back to it after the heat died down.

After switching server to play a class I've never played on a faction and race I've never played either. I can't help but feel like a bit of a cop out.

Ideally, I'll be raiding and PvP 50/50, I'm in a great guild who are supporting me as I get lvled up. I've got a 31 druid but I feel like I'm just not going to be helpful at all in raid as resto, let alone DPS. I started a rogue, I miss rogue, it's a lot of fun. But the lvling ability is absolutely gash.

Are my fears just regarding the druid or should I continue on my rogue? It's either that or lvl a shadow priest and switch to healer for raiding which I don't mind.

Sorry, just saw this now. We're on Nethergarde Keep. I've actually been keeping track of the demise of Flamelash, and last night I did a quick head count and comparison to Nethergarde Keep. On Nethergarde Keep I counted 1998 Alliance players. Keep in mind that the /who counter only goes to 50, so I split all the level 60s in to classes and still hit the maximum of 50 on every single class, so god only knows how many there really are.

Flamelash? 75. Seventy. Five. Players.

If you're interested in this topic, keep an eye on my records here.

That's a maximum of 3.75% of the population of NGK. I suspect it's closer to 1.5-2%.

I doubt anyone will want it tbh. Bots are so advanced nowadays that levelling an account to 60 can be done in days, and the game is free.

Ummmm, you don't have to do it manually... https://ironforge.pro/servers/

Finally in a position to lv my rogue as I'm able to kit them out with weapons every few lvls.

Currently at Lv17, I seem to have forgotten how harsh it is to lvl as a rogue, does it ever get better?

Level 40 is where it's at, their whole play style changes. A well-played warrior will decimate a rogue in seconds, the only class I really struggled against were mages. I had a priest buddy back then and we used to absolutely melt faces together, it was immense fun.

No pocket healer means tearing your eyeballs out in frustration though.

I disagree to an extent, I remember back in vanilla face rolling all over warriors. It was a common mistake they made going toe to toe with a warrior. Just need crippling poison and keep up bleeds. Out of that, yea, warrior squishes rogues.

I level something else first, in this case a priest, and then collect as much stuff as I can to reduce the pain of levelling something else, in this case a warrior. So I keep all my healing potions, cloth, armor, weapons, buff food, food mats, etc. If you think levelling a rogue is bad, try a warrior. To think that a warrior was my first and main toon back in the day. Priest is faceroll in comparison.

I've done the same, got a warlock which has played the AH and netted me some very tidy profits. Kitting my rogue out and it's a great load of fun now, Lv's 14-20 were horrible though!

Can anyone help me out? I am about to start a new alliance toon on Firemaw, I've been playing on US servers for the past several years but moving back to Europe later this year, I figured it's time to make the jump.

If anyone on that server has any spare bags and maybe a couple of gold to help me get started. I'd really appreciate it!

Alliance, vék :)

Sent you a friend request, I'm gonna start a rogue. Love me some stabby stabs and a warlock to keep my sanity in check when Rogue gets a bit tough for lvling here and there.

Zeila for my rogue and Saefei for the lock.

I will normally be on either of those at in the evening your time.

I've moved back to the EU, I need to get back into classic, gonna start on a EU server (tried a while back). Just how bad is it starting from low lvl at this point? Is everyone 60 and given up on most of the raids?

What are the thoughts of paying to get to 58? I simply didn't have time to play classic to 60 and grind. So for me, to play through BC again, I am happy (if the price is reasonable) to pay to boost just to experience BC over again.

Is it worth jumping back into this? I'll probably start fresh unless I have a toon on the suggested server. Anything good that's well populated (I like a stocked AH to play the market) with horde? Not fussed on world pvp, but will play battlegrounds.

My one concern is the sub lvl 60 dungeon experience, and how when I last played it was entirely dead to normal folk and only available to people able to pay for runs. Still the case?
