If it's being abused, i'll just change it so it blocks multiple attempts from the same IP.

Leveling weapon skills was one of the chores I had forgotten about.
Also allowing the trade of loot (2 hours) from raids is a change that was never in vanilla. It will save on the number of support tickets they get though from stressed RaidLeaders who made a mistake.

Quick scouting suggests a lot of the non ingrish speaking players are going on shazz, so think Golemag is likely to be the server of choice, will see how it develops in the next couple of days.

Well, sorted out my UI for starting out anyway. Did the three starter areas and not a single bag drop 
might have to resort to buying bags from the vendor if I don't get any luck.
Can only think this will be a tester and if things looks like it's blowing up they'll add new servers as the day goes on, but seems like they reckon once things settle down there'll be no more than maybe 30k people playing at any one time on the English servers.

I think after the first month there will be a massive drop in players once they realise how hard and grindy it was and the nostalgia was making them forget.
I expect a drop in numbers but I don't think it'll be so drastic that classic wont still be a success. There's a ton of populated private servers based on vanilla and has been for years, a lot of people genuinely enjoy playing in that way. I'm arguably one of them myself, although I'm more hoping it's a success so we see TBC and then WOTLK servers launched.

It'll cost them next to nothing to run, whilst keeping people subscribed. Will be interesting to see what the settle out numbers are. I watch Kargoz on youtube and he goes on about reckoning there'll be a 1m players - no chance!
I'm willing to bet that it'll be roughly half that number and sit there after about 3-6 months, which will still be a good amount of money for them assuming those who sub specifically to play classic without touching newer content.
