I did not know that, thanks for the heads up!
Also, more alliance players please, will tank for friendship!

There's a start. Let me know if you want to be added.
Can you add me please?
ShortWarning#2614
From the two dungeons I've done (normal difficulty) healing didn't seem to be an issue, healers never ran out of mana or stopped to drink, even when the DPS decided they would pull everything or start attacking a boss without clearing the trash that was surrounding it.
Just give it a go, you may be surprised at how easy it is and if you do wipe the group, you'll probably never see those players again anyway if you use dungeon finder.
May give disc ago, I've been leveling with shadow but finding groups hard work.

Same here - there's so much talk about disc at the moment though I'm tempted to try it. As I understand it, it seems the gist of it is the priest puts an Atonement buff on allies, which then heals those allies when the priest attacks enemies. Apologies to disc players - I'm sure there's probably more to it than that!
What happens outside of dungeons etc. though, like when you're solo levelling? Can/do you effectively put Atonement on yourself and then get a heal when you use your damage spells?
Apologies if I'm being thick here, never played a priest as anything other than shadow ...

Drop a shield on yourself. Any damage you do heals you.
Seems to work well for me soloing, however I am only level 87 in Jade Forest.
For max dps you want the schism talent, power word solace and purge the wicked. I can manage 46k dps currently.
Keep shield on your self at all times and purge the wicked (improved shadow word pain) up on target. There is a priority order for max dps: purge the wicked > schism > power word: solace > penance > smite.
I did some LUA scripting involving weak auras to show me what to cast based upon CD. When something is on CD, it does not show. In the image below you can see schism is the top. Purge the wicked only shows when I have a target and it's not on it.
You can solo 5+ mobs on you, elites etc and you will never drop health. Keep the dot up on all targets and take down one with the above rotation. Throw in your artifact attack, power infusion etc as appropriate.
