***World of Warcraft : Legion***

Okay, there are quartermasters in your class halls that will sell you weapons/sheids/off-hands you do not have (740 ilvl greens). These are obviously only useful until you get to 102 and do the rest of your artifact quests.

But you cannot use an artifact weapon that is not for your current specialisation, these greens you can use for anything.

Yep that's correct. The 740 green weapons are also cross class transmog - so added to your collection and can be used by any class that's proficient in that weapon type.

I did not know that, thanks for the heads up!

Also, more alliance players please, will tank for friendship!

From the two dungeons I've done (normal difficulty) healing didn't seem to be an issue, healers never ran out of mana or stopped to drink, even when the DPS decided they would pull everything or start attacking a boss without clearing the trash that was surrounding it.

Just give it a go, you may be surprised at how easy it is and if you do wipe the group, you'll probably never see those players again anyway if you use dungeon finder.

I mean healing as disc. I tried it anyway yesterday and it went terrible, the tank kept dying. In my defense though it didn't help he was a demon hunter and kept zooming off out of range to get everything done as quick as possible :p. Kept pulling stuff when I was miles away.

May give disc ago, I've been leveling with shadow but finding groups hard work.

Same here - there's so much talk about disc at the moment though I'm tempted to try it. As I understand it, it seems the gist of it is the priest puts an Atonement buff on allies, which then heals those allies when the priest attacks enemies. Apologies to disc players - I'm sure there's probably more to it than that!

What happens outside of dungeons etc. though, like when you're solo levelling? Can/do you effectively put Atonement on yourself and then get a heal when you use your damage spells?

Apologies if I'm being thick here, never played a priest as anything other than shadow ...

Drop a shield on yourself. Any damage you do heals you.

Seems to work well for me soloing, however I am only level 87 in Jade Forest. :)

For max dps you want the schism talent, power word solace and purge the wicked. I can manage 46k dps currently.

Keep shield on your self at all times and purge the wicked (improved shadow word pain) up on target. There is a priority order for max dps: purge the wicked > schism > power word: solace > penance > smite.

I did some LUA scripting involving weak auras to show me what to cast based upon CD. When something is on CD, it does not show. In the image below you can see schism is the top. Purge the wicked only shows when I have a target and it's not on it.

You can solo 5+ mobs on you, elites etc and you will never drop health. Keep the dot up on all targets and take down one with the above rotation. Throw in your artifact attack, power infusion etc as appropriate.

Cool - thought as much ... makes sense given the nature of the mechanic, but nice to have it confirmed :)

Awesome, thanks Scotty - sounds like an absolute blast! If I wanted to be really hardcore, I guess some alternative name plates and mouseover macros could make the dotting-up process quicker and easier - never felt the need to get involved with those before, but it seems to me this is a spec that cries out for it to get maximum benefit.

Currently levelling through Azshara (sp?) on my DK and haven't come across anything that's made him sweat as the cleave on Unholy is immense, but there have been times when I've thought to myself "Christ, don't fancy that scrap much on a mage or priest ..."

I need a mouseover dot really, otherwise have to tab in the midst of the mess. I need to setup something too to show me the bars cleanly of enemies I am currently in combat with and to alert me if one of those enemies does not the dot so I mouseover their bar.

I survived the 2 demon hunters vs me gank by keeping up the dots on them and being defensive, knowing I'd heal up.

Any other blood dks? I'm surprised at there tankyness this expansion. I keep finding I can't pull a group big enough to knock me down i'm always at full health.

Yet to try proper dungeon yet though.

I'll add my battletag up later I'm Outland Alliance.
