***World of Warcraft : Legion***

Illidan was captured by Maiev Shadowsong after the fight in BT, you see her escort him away after we did all the hard work. I'm guessing Gul'Dan must have been sent to our world by Archimonde.

Might give it a look depending on what information comes out closer to the time. Really don't want to feel stung like Warlords again.

Said in the other thread but there seems to me to be way too much thrown into this, everything people have asked for in one form or another is being advertised for this expansion. How much of it will make it? Who knows, but to me it doesn't look like they have learnt any lessons from the balls up that is WoD, don't over promise and then end up having to cut 75% of the content as you cant make the deadline.

As to the various premises of the expansion there isn't really anything that's tickling my balls and making me hyped :( I'm assuming we arent in the AU anymore, but if so how is Guldan (who was sucked into the nether) releasing Illidan (who is dead)? Also, didn't they say we would never get to wield the weapons of Lore? and yet here we are, going to be using them..

Anyway, maybe in 2 months time we will get the progression /classic servers announcement :p

Edit - 6 dungeons and 2 raids? oh dear

Wasn't it 3 raids?

Also they were working on this from before WoD so I'd like to think they will deliver on most of what they promised.

I really don't care much for lore they can do what they like, I just want some content, if they can deliver that I'll be extremely happy.

Absolutely nothing ground breaking in this expansion. Essentially it's just more quests and a higher level cap. I normally resub for every expansion but not this one.

It's like any other World of Warcraft expansion really - there's plenty in there to get excited about if it's implemented properly and with some TLC.

But this is Blizzard we're talking about, who are really starting to show some horrible side effects of being exposed to Activision, namely the ability to not give a **** about the game they're responsible for.

I'll hold out hope but I do expect the Demon Hunter to be half baked and badly balanced, PvP to be a mess and the whole expansion to be rushed through so that they can do another.

I dont think there are many things which will get me back into WoW. This expansion certainly isnt one of those things lol.

2 unless we get another not advertised (emerald nightmare and suramar palace)

If they can deliver this, it sounds good. IF, I'm not convinced by their recent form nor have the last few expansion packs being up to much (a slow decline since Wrath).

It is nice to see Activision having an effect on Blizzard, mainly the 'half-arsed' and 'taking advantage of your user base' effects.

I like the idea of the Burning Legion coming back, and Demon Hunter looks kinda cool, but I'm not overly enthusiastic. I cancelled by sub after getting to the endgame content in Warlords and I don't honestly know if I'll even get this expansion.

Meh, this game is long gone for me, it's old, milked to death with every expansion and, well, just the same grind 'till the next level cap. As Above, these new expansions will come more frequent now, they know it's dying out and yeah, did I mention about being milked to death? :)

Well, I thought it all looked really promising. I know they always fall slightly short on some of their original concepts and ideas but they deliver most of it. If they just deliver 80% of it i'll be happy for a while.

I really liked the artifact weapon stuff. I can see me really getting into that. Much prefer something like this rather than just using meaningless blues or epics that I just vendor when I get something better. Having your weapon level up and have custom properties sounds great. The return of class quests is also something I've been wanting for ages.

I also like what they're doing with the new PvP honor system. Looks like it will fix some of the balance issues. Also noticed that the first talent/perk on the tree was the PvP trinket that everyone has to have(apart from Humans).

I reckon they're planning for a Q1 release next year. Seems like they're keen to get this stuff out fairly regularly now.

Not sure if this is enough to bring me back or not.

I used to just like healing dungeons and raids, but you have to dedicate time to get into raid runs and I can't dedicate set time each week so there wasn't any point in playing. Pugs were just awful.

People are saying the Arms warrior artifact will be Gorehowl, for the fourth time lol, god I hope not.

Also it looks like they are sticking with the failed 20m mythic design so bye bye more subs.

You know it's bad when one of the expansion innovations is double jump.

WoW just seems to be 'bring back all the old things' and doesn't seem to have any new ideas anymore. Return of Illidan? More demons? Pfft.

- Bring back old AV
- Add player/guild housing in SW and the likes
- Get rid of Garrisons (they killed off professions)
- Get rid of flying mounts (they make FlightPath's useless and kill Open-PvP)
- Add more Timeless Isles type entire zones that force PvP/PvE together in the same area
- Ditch RaidFinder, it casualises raids and removes realm identify when you never know/meet the others
- Add incentives/objectives for Horde/Alliance to raid each others capitals
- Don't focus on class's, focus on races instead. Too much grouping of Alliance/Horde and not enough Dwarf/Undead etc.

You're welcome Blizzard, I just saved WoW.

- They wont ever, they had the chance but we got Garrisons instead.
- They arent coming back in Legion, so yeah.
- Open World PvP died along time ago, Flying mounts didnt do it either, BG's did.
- Casualisation of Raids isnt the problem, LFR essentially gives the casual player a easier/better/quicker reason to unsub especially as Blizzard seems to focus less on giving us content outside of raiding & Realm Identity disappeared when they stuck a band aid on the dwindling population with connected relams rather than actually merge servers.
- You cant force PvP onto people that prefer PvE - addressing the PvP problem is entirely separate and far more complicated than 'raiding' Capital Cities.
- All the decent lore is tied into the Alliance classes, if they tried to go down that route the Horde would be sat twiddling their thumbs ;)
