***World of Warcraft : Legion***

Decided to switch from my holy paladin to my prot war, something just felt off with the paladins healing. Make no mistake was really enjoying the playstyle, but heal wise it felt as if I had no control over the healing. By that I mean in previous expansions/classes I always felt in control, even with God awful tanks I knew that I was able to keep them alive and the group alive. Now its hit and miss if a bad tank dies on the 1st trash pack :(

for somebody not into pvp at all i think this expansion really sucks for leveling on a pvp realm, your bodyguards attack all the alliance players who come near you!

The amount of times my pet has attacked an alliance member who is level 110 who just turns round and destroys the both of us really puts a dampener on the experience, the level 110 then follows to camp my body for 30 minutes not allowing me to play.

I've just restarted last week and felt the same at the end of Draenor. Always played holy, but now I'm playing ret. Feels so much better and legion has made it better still.

A little OT, but who has read the Warcraft books? I'm interested in starting but there is a lot of information on which order to read things. Also some of the books are out of print / expensive to come by.

So for those who have read the universe of Warcraft. Where did you personally start and what books did you read?

ETA: only interested in the novels released.

I'm a bit disappointed in crafting again - as a Blacksmith, Demonsteel costs a fortune in mats and is pointless next to the Class hall set which is quite easily achievable, and has a set bonus! What's the point?

Well you can upgrade your profession stuff past the class hall gear, soon you will be able to upgrade past 850 I think.

Also crafted gear has never really mattered, The only professions worth having are Alchemy or Enchanting.

Theres is no better feeling in wow when you join a dungeon queue as 4 mates, the 1 randy tries to kick you for some stupid reason. So you can just turn the tide on him and kick him instead xD

This kind of thing also leads to abuse. I got kicked by a 4 man team when I was the tank because I dared to ask them to stop ****ing around and pulling everything, dying then blaming it on me for being a crap tank.

Crafting hasn't really been a main source of gear since the 3 stage weapons in Burning Crusade. I thought it was kinda getting there in MoP but then they made it so you could only wear three pieces.

i dont have any problems with barrage, if you have a proper tank who can pull the mobs and move them a little, you can easilly position to not hit anything else.

i tend to move past the group and barrage backwards.

Joined a Mythic yesterday, one of the DPS was putting out a solid 68k. Some fights took a little longer than they should have done! It wasn't even like he had bad gear.

Only done Mythics with the guild, or mainly a guild run & inviting a random to fill last spot but I've noticed some people in Heroics doing less damage than the tank and it baffles me. I even gave a guy some advice and pointed him in the right direction to get some rotation tips to boost his dps but he just said his dps was fine and went offline. If people wanna persist on sucking then so be it.

Priest needs massive nerf,

im level 106 mage (fairly middling to bad fire mage i'll admit)
I was being far out dps'd by a 105 lower ilvl gear holy priest healer in the dungeon group:D

I was averaging about 55k dps he was averaging near 65 whilst healing the whole group, WHAT ON EARTH IS GOING ON.

Also 102 monk doing consistant 70-80k dps. I must be doing something badly wrong.

Don't worry until max level....

Before I hit 110 mobs tickled me in instances, the scaling is so that 101 -> 109 do silly DPS / Heals / mitigate loads of dmg.

Once you hit 110 things hit a lot harder / DPS rockets down :)
Then gear brings it back somewhat

This is true too thankfully I'm pretty much always in a pre made of atleast 4 people who are all competent and it's always a dps we have to pug if we need to so if a dps pulls crap damage it's easy to get over it. So if we fail it is us to blame.

Before 110 doesn't matter, it's that way so you can level with whatever spec you want, once at 110 you'll be fine.
