***World of Warcraft : Legion***

Finally managed to down Gul'Dan. Pugging isn't much fun.

Are there any active casual guilds here working on progression (H or A, don't really mind)? Maybe a guild with 2 regular progression nights.

3 of us are looking for a guild. Prot Warrior ilvl 884, Hunter - 990+, Pally Healer (I think about 885).

For anyone interested you can still get valor points by doing mythic draenor dungeons. :)

Nice! I quit again.. for a while anyway.

It's still a great game but being as I don't have the free time to raid I maxed out the single player content on rep gains etc and it just became a weekly lfr/mount farm and it lost my interest again. :(

I've even thought about deleting all my characters to stop me going back.. but even that isn't guaranteed. :D

We're working through Nighthold Mythic currently. Only 1/10M so far but close to getting the 2nd boss down, just had a couple of roster issues. We're after a Healer and some DPS actually!

Think I have you on Bnet (Gpp) - gimme a shout.

Yeah I dont really raid much, however i have done most of nighthold(normal and some HC) but raiding is not really that much fun.

So started just messing about with twinks. Also got a shaman. :D

I've run out of things to do again so I think i'll just let my final month of sub expire and take a break.

After Warlords the game was always going to rest on Legion for me and whilst there's some good ideas there, the whole thing is still far too grindy and aimed at the lowest common denominator. It just still feels like it costs time to be "good" at WoW rather than actual skill.

And given that I think Nighthold is just a massive let down after the build up and there's really little to keep me entertained. I would level a Demon Hunter but it seems you get the first 90 levels done for you which just takes away the fun of levelling given that the Broken Isles really aren't that great to quest in.

Ho-hum, I expect i'll be back in the future but right now, i'm bored with it. :)

The guild I'm with are currently looking for just about everything to add some strength to our roster.

Currently 3/10 Mythic in Nighthold. 3 raid nights, but they only last 2.5hrs, 7.5 hrs a week isn't much to commit to so it's life friendly but we remain competitive on clearing content.
We cleared Emerald Nightmare on Mythic pre Nighthold release also.

Hi Jamie,

I'm on Aggramar too - just resubbed to check out Legion (used to Raid far, far too much back in Cata - I was a Druid tank for E X O D U S back then so had some server firsts). Unfortunately I doubt I can make your raid schedule or I'd apply (I tend to play later in the evening - normally 22H00 onwards). However, if you have any spaces in alt runs I'd love to have a go. As mentioned in a previous post there's pretty much a limit to what you can do solo / pugging - I've done all bar Guldan on normal and that's about as far as I can get with Pugs. Currently 883 on my feral Druid :).

I'm on Lexden in game most nights.

Oooh, we're on Aggramar too!

I'm not sure I could make the raid schedule (although I possibly can) but as DinAlt said above do you take others who are unable to make the core raid schedule but would like to raid to some degree?

Sorry for the delay, terrible working week this week.

We are like most Guilds in our structure, the mythic raids are typically only attended by core raiders because gear, AP and consistent attenders stuff is required.

We do have an off raid night on Tuesdays, this typically in a new raid tier starts with clearing normal - raiders get priority on main spec loot, then once the raid team has heroic on farm on the primary raid days and is moving into Mythic the off raid changes to farming heroic.

So you can clear up to heroic as Socials no problem at all.
But if you want to join in the guild mythics you'll need to step up from social into raiders etc

Cool. Well me and a couple of friends have applied.

We're not expecting to be stuck in the mythic groups. Just a friendly guild with a bigger pool of people to join for NH/NH HC is what we're after really.

Thanks for the info Jamie - if you guys don't mind an old relic from Vanilla days I'd be happy to try out. When I get home I'll look up my /played etc. My raiding xp isn't probably gonna be much use to you though I was in a World top 5 EverQuest 2 Guild and I was in the top horde guild on Aggramar in Vanilla and Burning Crusade (healer in Vanilla, tank in BC). Now I'm semi casual (but still play far too much - normally 20+ hours a week).

Just wondering if there's anybody that plays Alliance that do M+ groups? I play a druid around 880~ and want to start tanking M+ but I struggle to find groups, even with the group finder. Stuck in the typical loop of not fully knowing what to do in the M+ and not being able to learn.

A month or so ago I purchased a new Account. I fancied starting fresh and now I have got to 95 with my Arms warrior and now thinking of getting Legion. I was going to complete the Loremaster Achievement with this toon and also the Exploration one too. So far I have done all quests and exploration in Classic (Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms) half of TBC, Half of Wrath and a little of Pandaria. Just about to start on Gorgrond in Warlords. I have done the frostfire quests/chapters. Hoping to finish Warlords off and get the flying before going for the exploration in that xpac. I am unsure what to do? Stay in draenor and finish off the quests and get flying and do exploration or head to Legion and get max then head back as it would be quicker to finish off the Warlords quests then. I have looms upgraded to 2/2 which will run out at 100 (5 levels to go)Here is my toon http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/quelthalas/Zanezu/simple

Also what would you suggest to boost if I get Legion? I have over the years played as Warrior, Mage, Warlock, Hunter all to max on whatever expansion I was on at the time. On my other account thats not active I have War, Lock and Hunter at 100. Pala, DK and Priest I have played and they are around the lvl70-80 mark. I am thinking of boosting a class I have not really played with. Thoughts?

I'd be happy to do M+ with you, I play a fairly average geared (862) Fire Mage who isn't hugely experienced in Mythics, highest I have done is +11. You can add me on Proph#2673 if you want.

I've been skipping through this post and I'm concidering subbing again, but it's been anything between 3 to 5 years ago the last time I played.

I understand this question will vary a lot from person to person but, would any of you say there's enough engaging content to keep a mostly solo player busy for a few months? I no longer have the time commitment for raiding.

I'm tempted to go clean slate and start from scratch as that's guaranteed to occupy what time I have.

I resubbed (purchased the game again and new account etc) just so I could have a fresh start. There are lots of things to keep you occupied for months. Achievements are what I am going for currently. Starting with one character and completing each zone to get the Loremaster. Same with exploration. Yeah it gets easy as you out level the zones but at least you still get to know the story etc. Plus you can also go into old raids and dungeons on your own to get transmog sets and you get to see what the instances are like if you not played them before. Lots to keep me going. If you are thinking of doing it again hit me up on battlenet ( Zanezu#2979 ) I am Horde with one toon on quel'thalas. I would roll an alliance so I could get the double agent achievement if thats what it is called. Ill be on from 9.30 this morning till 11::30 then 12:30 3:30 give or take a few minutes either way.

I've not built my system yet but if you don't mind a message randomly in a few weeks I'd like to join up with someone in the same boat thanks.

Plus I only ever roll Horde so no problems with that. :p

Last August I ran out of games I fancied playing so I thought I'd revisit WoW. first of all I took advantage of the free trial and tried every combo of class / character (levelling them to 20) this took about 2 weeks, after that I subbed and levelled a character up to max. I've played pretty much every day since then and I'm still enjoying it - there's plenty of variety and lots of different stuff to do at max level 9though if you enjoy crafting other than alchemy once you get past a certain point there's pretty much no use for your stuff. Legion isn't alt friendly if you're a completest (if you're happy not to do everything in the expansion then you'll be fine) . You can do quests (world and lore), there's a long and quite interesting lore / quest path throughout the expansion - you will have to group for some of it but why play an MMO if you want to solo everything... Dungeon delve (the new mythic + system helps keep dungeons interesting for longer, though to be honest dungeons as a whole are so dumbed down nowadays compared to Cata etc.
Raiding wise ATM everything is available on LFR (only gate is your equipment level and you can solo world quests which can get you over the hump needed to LFR. The next part of the expansion (7.2) is about to drop so that will bring new dungeons and raids so they'll be gated for a while but it'll take you a few months of casual play before you need to worry about that.
If you can find a good guild that suits your play style I think this is a great time to come back - there's certainly enough to keep you busy for the next several months - my only regret I that the real world friends I used to play with are both ill so I only see them in game very rarely - unlike me they never quit so I was looking forward to grouping / raiding with them again (would have been a sort of reverse of how we first met when they were timid novices scared of Heroic dungeons in Cata who I helped out).
If you do resub and go Horde let me know and I'll try and help out
