***World of Warcraft : Warlords of Draenor***

New features look really good (way better than MoP), but I am confused over the setting.

Im not a big lore junkie but isn't Draenor = Outland? If yes, is there some time travel involved here or?

I are confused......!!

not sure if this is 100%, but as far as im aware, Grom breaks free from panda prison and goes back in time to raise a orc army to destroy everyone, and we go back in time To draenor to stop him and the rest of the Warlords of Draenor"

I think :P

Pretty sure its an alternate universe to do with caverns of time, and not time travel.

It's actually quite simple, he escapes and goes back in time through the dark portal, and screws up Draenor/Outland, however because that's another plane/dimension to the main world we are unaffected, for L85's or so and up the portal will turn red and now lead to alternate timeline Drenor/Outland (The original one can still be reached via CoT if you want to farm old content).

Yeah, From what they said it is for new and existing users. Create a new char and boost it to 90 or insta level an alt you have been playing to 90. Im quite looking forward to this and will likely get the CE edition like I did for Cata (Regret not getting it for the others)

I would hazard a guess and expect them to include all previous versions with WoD too, if they expect to entice previous folks back then it makes the most sense.

I have to say I dont think Im been looking forward to an expansion like this since LK.

I found a quote that sums up my feelings on the fail:

Last tier for example, almost 21,000 guilds killed Lei Shen normal. 20,300 of those were 10 man. That is how many guilds will be affected by this change. It's not something that only impacts the world top 100 elitists, there are a LOT of people who don't play enough to finish a heroic tier but are still good enough to get a few heroic bosses down later in the patch cycle.

This is such a [deleted] move by Blizzard, flex mode was a really good way to make the lower end of raiding more accessible, now they are working to make the top end more exclusive, it's [deleted]. They should be encouraging more guilds to make the step up into the first few heroic bosses, not gating them off behind a massive recruitment wall.

Why use the stats and figures of normal to make an argument against the mythic? If anything normal mode is being made more accessible because it has the full flex functionality.

Anybody raiding heroic is pretty hardcore into pve and isn't going to be turned off by finding a bigger group. 20 man and 40 man was popular enough in vanilla. 25 man was the only way to do the hardest content in TBC and wrath. I'm in a 10 man guild doing heroics and none of us are worried about or principally against increasing the roster / merging for WoD. What about all the players who want to get into heroic raiding but the vast majority of the 10 man guilds won't recruit because they are happy with their setup? I don't think the number of people raiding mythic is going to drop at all - it may even go up.

Sometimes I swear people convince themselves something annoys them just because they want to have a moan.

This, but being (fairly) new to WoW, I can't quite get over Blizzard's unwavering loyalty to vertical gear progression. Definitely not looking forward to replacing my Legendary Cape with - I imagine - a quested Blue in ~10 months' time.

Welcome to the joys of power creep :(

Whaaa? I paid £10 for my battlechest, £15 for WotLK, £30 for Cata and if I wanted to get back into it now, £50 for MoP and eventually WoD. Where do you find Vanilla, TBC, WotLK and Cata for a tenner? That's mental.

You can get all expansions minus MoP for £2.50 with 30 days free game time, you need the special link for it tough but it worked as little as two weeks ago for my young brother.

This was the link to where I found it here, not sure if it still works...

I reinstalled this today. Looking forward to this expansion a lot more than cata and pandas.

Going to get a few chars to 90. Highest I got was 88 before I quit, try and get a monk up(only class I haven't played) and use the free boost on what ever my lowest char is on release.

Not bothered bout all the raiding as I don't do it anyway.

I almost feel like not playing any 90 characters since it has been announced, happens to me everytime a new expansion is going to come out.

I'll be levelling that warlock i havnt got past level 26 since release before i know it :D

i dont play anymore but it looks like even more dumbing down from blizz. getting rid of 4 more stats? remember when we had to train up weapon skill? doubt i'll return to wow.

I think they should bring back all aspects of vanilla. get rid of flying mounts, 10/25 raids in lieu for 40 man raids (lets face it, PC power isn't a problem anymore), and also scrap battlegrounds. but i know itll never happen. ;)

Anyone have a suggestion of which class to level next? I have a 90 shaman (Enh / Resto), 90 Druid (Cat / Bear), 90 Pala (Prot / Holy) and a 90 Lock. Looking to level another char before the expansion to get me back into the game. Any suggestions? I stopped playing around a year ago if it happens to matter.

monk is fun if you fancy somethin different, i always find when i start a new toon i always end up with a warrior, prot warrior is prob one of my fave combinations in the game, plus you can make people look a bit silly in bg's :p

Just a thought but would anyone be interested in starting a reroll guild on ocuk purely for leveling for WoD? granted its not out till next year sometime, guessing Q1 at the earliest.

Maybe if a guild was made it could be just a social one to get to 90 and then get some sort of raiding team going and just spam the MoP and SoO raids to pass the time. I know ther was an Alliance guild a year or so ago started and it was quite succesful but I understand it sort of fell apart, just like my guild I started earlier this year :-(..

Anyone up for this as I see a few people saying they might resub and some already have.

Your thoughts?

Edit: Just to expand a little more. I know most reroll guilds start from level 1 and progress to 60, stop and do content, rinse and repeat for each expansion but I would not think there would be enough time to carry out that view on leveling so just starting from the start and running dungeons and progressing that way would seem the way forward, unless anyone would like to stop at each tier etc.

There is still a huge interest in wow on these forums and I think making a new guild would be good. Not only will it help people get to know members who they would not normally socialise with on here but it would also help us guys bond and get to know each others strengths and weaknesses during the leveling process and once it comes to raiding then we will know how to take part and work as a team.

I am not fussed on what faction/server we could do this on so ideas would be welcome. I am sure there would be a few people interested on here doing this project..

Considering I play horde all the time I would lile to roll and alliance toon myself. Guess it will make the game seem a new world to me. New zones and quests etc. :-)

would you be interested in a new guild..?
