Yes, get in Ali! Woot. I hope now I don't regret Ronnie not being there if we end up with a super boring final like Hawkins v Walden.
 
Gonnie O'Sullivan :o

I said to my old man that he had no chance this year. Why he was a mega favourite, I have no idea. I fancied Allen or Wilson to go far but it's anyone's now.
 
Only saw most of this last session, but Ali looked so focused, in an Ebdon-esque manner. Before his cancer scare in recent years, he was a quality player, nice to see him look like the Ali of old... Some cracking one-off pots in that final session.

Did Ronnie feel the tournament expectation pressure when many seeds got knocked out, with the chance to be the first player to win six ranking titles in a season (and get ever closer to Hendry's seventh world title record)?
 
Hope Higgins doesn't win, he should be banned anyway for potential match fixing of the past. But that's a whole different topic.

What is going on in Ali Carters head. He shoots his mouth off before the match. Acts weird and tries not to look at Ronnie when he's playing. Barges him and the ref has to intervene, to which Ronnie replies "I'm as cool as a cucumber". I used to respect Ali but now I think he's messed up. Worst most ungracious winner in living memory. Can't wait for him to lose and let a decent player advance to the finals.

I don't think carter barged anyone, looking at the replay he was moving his body slightly sideways and O'Sullivan hit into him.

And what did he say before the match? The only interview I seen had him not wanting to talk much about the match, unless he said something else I missed.
 
Higgins makes a 146, one of the finest breaks I've ever seen. Only the 4th 146 at the crucible, just ran out of position on the 11th black.

That's not how I saw it. Carter was acting odd the entire match. The barging incident led to a verbal exchange between Ronnie and Ali at which point the ref interrupted and Ronnie was heard to say to Ali, stop being angry. Carter has issues.

He wasn't watching the table, realistically you play the balls not the opponent anyway. And acting odd is hardly something O'Sullivan isn't guilty of, remember him sitting with a towel over his head years back? As for the "barging" incident, O'Sullivan collided with carter, not the other way around. They already both downplayed it in the after match interviews so makes little difference in the long run.
 
LOL. Someone pointing out Carter acting odd after all the times Ronnie has acted like a tool over the years. Maybe that's become the norm to the point that it's just not noticed anymore. ;)

Anyways; poor McGill is getting a drubbing. Feel for him and Lisowski.

Lisowski punched the table earlier after missing a shot, just shows how much of a total mind **** this game can be, his last match his first visit to the table he made a ton with virtually no effort, this match he's lucky potting balls over the pocket. Snooker really can drive you nuts.
 
Glad O'Sullivan got served. He is amazing to watch when on form, but as a person in general i wouldn't give him the time of the day. Complete drama queen slash, look at me. Fool.
