For the rts? Have a serious look at Men at War series. The Vietnam game was slightly disappointing, but the original Men at War was awesome. For a fast paced rts with extra polish, get Men At War: Assault Strike. MAW:AS uses flag control points similar to Company of Heroes, but they are heavily defended and also at choke points. You can also micro manage your troops with their individual inventory system, so you can get a rifelman to rob that mg42 of dead troops or from wrecked, amoured vehicles.

Just came across this game, it's on offer on steam. Tempted to pick it up, looks pretty cool.
Also, while I'm on the topic of world war 2 games, the op should check out the Brothers In Arms series. They were some neat tactical shooters.
Oh and I've just remembered - The Saboteur was a brilliant but bugged open world game about the french resistance in Paris. Immensely fun and beautiful graphics. It's only £2.99 on origin at the moment, there's no excuse to not try it out! There's a decent trailer here:
