Worst game you have played?

see the floats bobbing whos gunna bite ;)

That was another game I did not finish, but I believe the multiplayer experience was quite good. But as I don't play online I can only comment on the SP.

But BF, MoH, CoD, are same old same old and I don't even buy these games when they are cheap.

All of the later versions of ghost recon "future soldier - and such like" total crap & nothing like the Original game + exp packs and all the mods you could download from ghostrecon.net

Whilst it isn't the worst game, infact quite far from it, I'd have to pick Dishonored. The sheer amount of disappointment in that game has given it a sour taste for me, I started it up thinking I was about to play one of the best games ever made from all the hype, but I quickly found out that it had an awful stealth system and playing anything but a warrior-type is seriously pointless. Rome 2 didn't let me down anywhere nearly as much as this did.

I'm playing Dishonoured now, as a stealth character, on the hardest difficulty mode, and it's entirely doable (and excellent). Fair enough if it's not to your taste, but the comment bolded above I find quite bizarre.

As for the Bioshock Infinite posts - again, I can understand it's not to your taste but "worst game you have played"? Really? Not just "Mediocre when I hoped for excellent"?

Also, atmosphere does not always have to mean "dark".

On topic:

Worst game I've played was probably the latest AVP, for the obvious reasons of it being arse.

You found Sleeping Dogs to be poor? It was one of the best games from last year quite comfortably.

This

Sorry I just found Bioshock Infantile incredibly boring SNIP.

This, visually stunning though

He is not all wrong, the solo campaign was poop, online is what you make it, for me it was ok, I picked it up quite late and was quite impressed with the online play.

The worst game I have played and still currently playing on the pc at the moment is Fifa 13.

In what way? I've completed the main campaign and the DLC without killing anybody and without alerting anybody to my presence:

I know we all have different tastes but there are some crazy replies here, BioShock infinite and Dishonored?

I understand its possible to feel let down following the hype, but worst game? Maybe some people just haven't played much this year.

Too many poor games have come out so ill name my worst from the more recent.

Tomb Raider, felt more like a movie with button interaction than a game.
Rome 2, I like the game but that's just it, it should have been a game to love.
Endless Space, looked great but was boring and repetitive.

Star Trek Online - Even though it only cost £2.50 it was THE worst game I've ever played bar none...

WarZ - sooooo bad..

Aliens : Colonial Marines - Lying two faced &*'#£%2$ dev's !!

Ooh can't believe I forgot about this one.

Star Wars : The Old Republic.

Started off good, went down hill fast once the novelty/nostalgia wore off.

Aye, I've gotten to the level after branding the head guy from that macarbe paladin cult thing (that's something I love about the game, the choices you're given) so far without any kills or alerts, but it's so boring. You have to be right behind someone and if you're off by an inch you can't grab them. I suppose playing Splinter Cell Blacklist before Dishonored spoilt me as to how good a stealth takedown system could be. Dishonored is just a chore to be ninja and boring, you end up missing out the actual good parts of the game and just teleport everywhere positioning yourself parallel behind people strangling them with the same animations. Granted it's a good game in the other regards but IMO the game rewards stealth the most and it's the playstyle I wanted to go with, but it's just so hands down rigid and repetitive like that. Stealth in it is just so boring. :(

Plus the weird A.I.'s inconsistancy can be quite annoying sometimes, you can literally walk infront of someone and they only go half alerted before you teleport away and then they go on about their business unalerted and other times they can spot you instantly from the other side of the level. Maybe it'll improve as more abilities are unlocked but apart from the teleport and animal posession thing, everything else seems geared up for assault and murder.

Surely War Z has to be up there with the worst (recently anyway).

Yeah it's pretty bad, but at the minute it's the best at what it does.

War Z was pretty dire for me...

Rome II so far hasn't lived up to its name yet either. I'm not sure if its just because I was expecting more!

I think the second level opens it out a lot. the first has to be scripted/staged so as to be accessible with no unlocks, whereas the second and onward are much more open-plan. The second main mission
in the brothel
is super fun times for a stealthy creep-about type of person.
I can't imagine how many guards woke up on tiny ledges 50 feet above the sea after my visit

In terms of stealth, the optical zoom thing for your mask lets you listen in on conversations from afar, which is good for intel/planning, and the extra jump is excellent for negotiating places where you can't teleport.

Also, if you're playing stealth-but-with-killing, there's an upgrade to turn bodies to ash so they can't be spotted, which is nice.

I think the way the game develops based on your playstyle is also interesting, but for obvious reasons doesn't occur til later in the game.

wow i really cant believe some of the games mentioned in here, this is supposed to be about the worse game u have ever played(awful story line, bugs, awful control system and so on) not a game u have been dissapointed with the most because YOU set the bar to high, i mean seriously bio shock infinite, tomb raider, dishonoured these are never going to be the worst game's anyone has played if your honest with yourselves your just annoyed it didnt live upto your expectations and due to the fact that most suggestions are from games out in the last year its pretty obvious this is the case.

stop being butt hurt and be realistic

Far Cry 2 for me.

Travelling large distances in an undrivable jeep, through many random checkpoints with unlimited guards, and then when you get to your destination your malaria kicks in and you end up like a rohypnol victim on some vagrants sofa taking unknown pills.

Two games I really looked forward to were terrible and ended up uninstalling them before completing.. Duke Nukem Forever & Max Payne 3.

GTA IV - the graphics were poor and unoptimised, also the lead character was annoying. Can I play a nice guy instead? I hate being a stereotypical gangster/hoodie/pykie who wants to rise to the top of the gang. How about I play as Michael Douglas and have a Falling Down moment, or Kick-Ass and wander the streets as a vigilante.

Well I don't intend to give up on the game, but hopefully you're right. Going for a pacifist playthrough but it's getting very boring with the takedowns, so much easier to just teleport from objective to objective without even bothering with people but that's even more boring! The level design seems great though, some of the best I've seen but it feels like they focused 90% of level design/story etc. and about 10% of their time on the actual gameplay. Time will tell!

'Worst games you have played', so you have no idea what games they have played, and nothing is more disappointing than falling for hype and being roped into subpar games. You play a bad game and it's a bad game but it doesn't try and convince you otherwise, but some games are turds that dress themselves up in fancy clothing and you don't realise until it's too late. Like with Dishonored, from what everyone was saying it sounded like one of the best games ever, but when you play it, the stealth system just falls flat on it's face compared to everything else in the sneaky genre. Bioshock Infinite was the weakest in the series IMO, it was just dumbed down even more than 2, and with pretty graphics. The story etc are great but the rest is boring.

Isn't it purely based on opinion though. If its a total let down to a person, then its going to be up there with the worst games.

Also... add Final Fantasy 14 (original) to my list!
