Worst game you have played?

Are you a real life idiot or just trolling?

I'll take the bait anyway, seeing as games are generally based on fiction, they do not have to abide by the 'universal' laws of physics and nature.

As for Borderlands 2 being a 'teeny shooter', maybe you are just getting old. I know many people around 29/30 who play this game religiously. It is also a fairly violent game (hence the 18 rating). It is a well made, loot based shooter with an amusing story. Yes it can get repetitive, but what game doesn't?

I guess I better get back to my realistic games though, can't be having a game that doesn't abide by those physics! Like Arma 2, where I can drive a tank into a rock and have it fly up into the sky randomly. Thank goodness every other game uses real life physics.

if you find BL2 amusing then you must be pretty easy to please, because i find it no more amusing than watching Teletubbies, it's not smart at all.

it's very badly scaled, too repetative, too many level cap rises, Krap loot and finally, only really suitable for CO-OP mode, it is not a solo game.

a good game is Dishonored or FEAR, but BL is a mass marketed Adrenalin shooter, every DLC is a respawned version of the main game, they've just been dressed differently that's all

loads of people play BL2, YES BUT THAT DOESN'T MAKE IT ANY GOOD, because loads play COD/BF3 as well.

.

The whole point is that it's not trying to be smart, it's throwaway comedy. No heavy storyline, OTT weapons and powers, lot's of loot, lot's of fun for most.

Borderland's was an original IP, and a very successful one. If you expected any different from two then that's not smart at all.

I can't really comment on your comparison to Teletubbies as I don't watch it.

Oh right, yes a 'good' game would be Dishonored or F.E.A.R, except that I could also say F.E.A.R was just an average shooter with tacky jump scares. Or I could even say that Dishonored has already come up in this thread as one of the worst games (not that I agree).

And yes, a large amount of people do play it, there is no need to shout. If they enjoy playing it, then do you not think that at least one of them find it 'fun'? And actually like the cell-shaded graphics, large amount of weapons, variety in locations?

Anyway, this all boils down to you saying that the game was bad because the planet it is based on does not have the same nature/physics as 'real life'

well yea, the game has dragged on too long... and i'm bored to death of playing it, it's time to return to Dishonored..and then ``machine for pigs``

but it isn't the worst game, that's not what this is about, the worst is Painkiller HD.

I find it hard to pick a game thats bad, only one that currently comes to mind is Mafia II, disappointing game :(

The game is ok, but I was expecting so much more based on the original Mafia.

Problem is that one mans junk is another mans treasure and vice versa :p

I really enjoyed Borderlands but it's a bit of a marmite game. I know quite a few people who didn't get on with the styling or the way the game can feel like a grind.

worst game = painkiller hd
most dissapointing game = painkiller hd

i.e both the same thing :D

i've always researched before downloading so i cant say that i've ever had a bummer.. Borderlands 2 is a game that i've played way too long and thus got totally sick of it....but i have to say that it's not that bad really

Fable 3 - streamlined and simplified (I quite liked the first one)

Whilst it isn't the worst game, infact quite far from it, I'd have to pick Dishonored. The sheer amount of disappointment in that game has given it a sour taste for me, I started it up thinking I was about to play one of the best games ever made from all the hype, but I quickly found out that it had an awful stealth system and playing anything but a warrior-type is seriously pointless. Rome 2 didn't let me down anywhere nearly as much as this did.

Both of these. Fable 3 was atrocious in comparison to Fable 2. Really short, very linear story, with very little to do in game once you become king.

Dishonored was highly recommended by a cousin of mine and turned out to be really linear and dull, once again. All this stuff about it being a sandbox and being really exciting turned out to all be rubbish. Severe disappointment imo.

Dishonored is the best game i've ever played, 2nd best is F.E.A.R and their Expansions.....Perseus Mandate was excellent

another bad game and i forgot all about it is COD.... by God i hated it.

See I rate Mafia 2 as one of my favourite games (one of few games I've completed on both PC and PS3). I loved the setting, the graphics (snow sliding off the roof of a car when you hit it), how the timeline moved forward with new vehicles etc. Having to drive home after missions got a bit tiresome, but the story was a classic mafia one. However, I did not play the first Mafia game, so I had no expectations when going into it.

Which COD though? Call of Duty 1 on PC was one of the best WW2 shooters I have played. So much better than the dull Medal of Honor games around the time (here you are on your own, run around and kill enemies). I actually felt bad when one of my squad was killed. I recently got it again on PS3 (as an HD classic version) and I forgot how brutally hard it was without regenerating health. Still a good game.

Recently;

GTA IV (2008) - GTA but with all the fun sucked out of it
Wolfenstein (2009) - Run of the mill
Alien vs Predator (2010) - Terrible AI & felt very low budget
Duke Nukem Forever (2011) - Just plain bad in every way shape and form
COD Black Ops 2 (2012) - Having not played a COD game since MW2 I thought I'd give the latest instalment a shot. Big mistake, another generic, run of the mill shooter.

Didn't buy Colonial Marines thankfully as I'm a bit more cautious about which games get my money now.

i was just about to shoot off  it's Modern Warfare, i hated the timed missions, the squad play and having to move forward as a team.

i always like to game on my own and take my time, i hate being rushed.

fc2

and haze stick in my mind.

Although I've not owned a PS3, I was still looking forward to it coming out / video reviews and so on. Unfortunately, it wasn't well received at all (I remember walking into GAME and asking for feedback and the assistant saying it nose dived).

Talk about annoying coversation loops..."Remember your promise to Marino!". :D
