Worst hotel you've ever stayed in?

Travellodge @Sittingbourne

It was the middle of summer and I went out for mid week drinks and a curry. The hotel room didn't have windows that opened or air conditioning and must have reached 45 degrees inside - it was horrendous.

Back in the 1970's I worked in Aberdeen, dredging, on a two weeks in three shift. We were put up in a hotel on Market Street which may have improved massively since. I hope so. It seemed mainly to cater for budget coach holidays of the Highlands. The rooms were just about passable for a couple of nights but the food was terrible and there was very little choice.
In the oil boom city of Aberdeen where people went to an Angus steak restaurant for a light meal, a couple of potato croquettes, cold meat and salad barely lined the stomach. We ate out nearly every night, Indian, Chinese or the aforementioned steakhouse.
