Worst player 11/12 edition.

No, no direct criteria.

I just wanted people to list and talk about who hasn't impressed them this season.

Almost the same applies in the sister thread I made too, who, has impressed you the most this season.

I said in the opening post that there are too many players for me personally to list, which is still true. It's being a very underwhelming season bar a few players who've done well at a few clubs, everything else has been quite ~average.

It has been a fairly poor season and I'm seriously hoping we see some of the more talented players from around the world brought in by some of the Premier League clubs.

There are so many of them out there. I'd love for someone to go for Neymar for example, but he'll no doubt end up in Spain.

There are some real quality players that I'd enjoy seeing play week in week out, but at the same time there are some very good players here already, for whatever reason aren't being given the chance or simply haven't had the form this season, which too is a huge shame.

To be fair its his first season in the EPL, id give him another year and see how he does before consigning him to the scrap heap:p

For Arsenal id say hands down Arshavin, closely followed by Djourou and Walcott to some extent. The funny thing is that Arshavin has gone on loan to Zenit but wants to come back to Arsenal to play:confused:...id have him back if he puts in some effort when he plays but this season hes been absolutely useless other than a nice cross for Henry a few mths back.

I know it is but he doesn't seem to have anything to his game. He can't pass or shoot and even when he skins someone he ends up running into someone else. Even his control is awful. I'll be amazed if he does ok next year.

Think it's a little harsh to include Walcott, yes he's had a few bad games but he has scored 8 and got 13 assists in 38 games this year in quite a poor team.

Well, there are no direct criteria in the OP and I'm sure you could consider him to be one of the worst players in some respects. :)

Getting yourself banned, thus making yourself worthless to your team and dragging the name of your club through the mud could surely count.

Yet he's contributed more to our team than many other players have to theirs including some others at Liverpool and you picked him for getting a ban which was a bit of a joke in the first place

Actually scrap some, most.

He'd been fairly poor recently until the Everton game had he not? Certainly nothing special.

And I didn't 'pick him' either. Please show me where I said that he was the worst player (based on footballing ability)?

Oh, and the ban wasn't a joke, but let's not go down that road. ;)

He still looks our most threatening player, won a penalty vs arsenal, got unlucky with the post. Scored against your lot, unlucky not to score in CC final. All whilst looking like our only player who will do anything bar Gerrard.

He was also great until the ban, also you were surprised no one picked him implying you think he has been one of the worst which is hilarious.

And yes it was but sure, let's not go there ;)

No, I was surprised nobody had picked him based on the fact there are no criteria as to what defines 'worst' (as confirmed by Tummy).

I'd say that getting yourself banned for racism, making yourself worthless to your team and making your club look like a joke in the process is pretty bad as things go. Has any other player in the league this season had such problems? I don't think so.

That's all, no need to be getting upset about it. We know you think he's a lovely bloke and the best player, etc. :)

He still looks our most threatening player, dived to win a penalty vs arsenal, hit the post yet again.

Fixed ;)

I guess apart from the racism part Tevez ticks all those boxes as well :p

There was very clear contact, no?

And the fact Tevez has done nothing useful where as Suarez has been one of our best players.
And no Robbo, still not close to being one of the worst but it's hardly surprising you'd wanna bring it up

david luiz or torres from the top half of the table

all of the wolves defence

You're 50% correct there.
Torres is radio rental, I've never seen anything like it in top flight football.
Luiz however is brilliant and is fast becoming one of the best, his mistakes which were his only fault are now far fewer than before.

I think Luiz would probably be better as a versatile defensive midfielder instead of a defender.

3 months ago I'd agree with you but he's grown up and gets better every game and is starting to realise how to defend and when to launch the ball.
Chelsea generally play with a HMF now who covers for him when he ventures forward, which he's possibly the best at in the PL, for a defender.

Did I just read that? He cost you a goal at Napoli what, two weeks ago? His concentration is worse than Assou-Ekotto.
