Would the Moderators PLEASE tell what I can bloody have for a signature!!!!

Probably the same reasons why anybody has a sig - because it means something to them.

Setting examples and all that...

I think they should follow the same rules that we follow, along with the same restrictions.

It's bad enough cramming lines of text into my signature. If the Mods were a little more "generous" regarding signature rules, perhaps things would be a little rosier.

Christ it's only lines of text in an image which will remain the same size. What does it matter? :eek:

They do, saying that they dont is ridiculous.

If you have an issue with one of the mod teams sigs, or anything else, then email them. If it breaks the rules it will be sorted.

except it's 20kb ;) Personally I don't disagree with you - but it's not my call. However some people would abuse the system and try an exploit it. Because people don't like rules and people ALWAYS try and exploit them - and that's when we give a smack down :p
 
TBH if we didn't have the rules we would end up with peoples sigs the size of some websites... I hate it when I go onto a forum and I have to scroll through full sig's with images about 800x600, its absolutely ridiculous.

I'm not trying to pin you down FF (as much as I want to ;)). But in your own personal view, would you have said I was circumventing the rules, or making a compromise?

As stated before how is it that your sig is not classed as circumventing the rules?

It is nto ok to have 5 lines in your sig, unless they are 1 character each?
 
Not that I'm any more bothered about this than if, say, a duck farted in Gambia, or if Trinny and Suzannah declared Crepe soled shoes to be the new purple cardigan, but - Your sig goes against the spirit of the rules, if not the letter.

If it's that important to you, make a large placard and stage a protest.

Then blog about it on myspace, where fluffy bunnies will make it all better.

Oh, and does anyone get the feeling here that people are shooting the messengers (aka the Dons)?

No, not really, like I said before its about the principle I think.

But I wouldn't recommend steering a thread that way either.
