In the last 10 years I've switch from PC gaming to Console and then back to PC gaming. Definitely prefer PC over console, I have a PS4 currently but it never gets used as all the games I play are available on PC and my friends that I game with play on PC, so for me it's an easy choice.

I've not played on a console for several years......I think think the last console I owned was when I was in my 20's which as a PS2.

I am not ruling on consoles as I am sure they moved on in in the last 10 Years.

I would be tempted with one but I can do a whole lot more on my PC. Now My PC Rig isn't powerful, in fact is quite date over 7 years old.

However I've always been drawn to PC gaming with mouse and keyboard...There are games on console that are designed with them in mind and the same can be said for a PC.

Since you can't play RTS and grand strategy games on consoles I'll stick to the PC. Plus you can easily mod games on the PC which you can't really do on consoles. I own all the current gen consoles and they pretty much sit unused unless I want to watch a blu-ray or DVD.

Just about all the games I really want to play are PC exclusives.

I did actually "quit" PC gaming a number of years ago for an xbox 360. The reason being that at the time I didn't have the money to replace my aging PC and I thought that as I started on consoles that switching back wouldn't be a problem.

However, I was wrong, the control pad is greatly inferior to the keyboard and mouse for the majority of games, the cost of games prohibitive (i.e £40-50 for one console game or 3-4 for £20 on PC if you are savvy) and the variety of games that PC offers is massive (indie), although with xbox arcade I'm unsure whether this is the case now.

I also like the tech and building aspects of PC ownership and that my PC is a do ANYTHING machine, which a console will not be able to match.

I think PC gaming is more power and also the precision and fiedelty of it is better. I have an xbox but struggle with the controller. Nothing beats keyboard and mouse.

TBH, I have both a PC and Xbox One, neither get played on anymore, I have PC that can play anything I want on decent settings but all it does is use chrome or spotify and my xbox has been in its box until yesterday for the past 3 weeks since moving home but a buddy told my goat simulator was free so thought I'd give it a go. played for two minutes and turned it off..

No, I started out PC, then went to console for a couple of years, whilst it was easier just sticking a disk in and just playing. The graphical hold back, price and general 'uselessness' once you try to do anything but game on a console (granted, I know this is different now) just didn't appeal to me.

When I got back to PC, it was amazing, graphics are amazing, I can tweak and tinker with my PC, it has the option to be mouse and keyboard or controller. At my desk or on my TV with me lounged out on the sofa. It does what a console does, but with a lot more functionality.

I'd like a console, but only because of the exclusives, and if that's the case, I'd have to get a PS4 and a Wii U. But, they would be 'nice to haves'. Ultimately, PC gaming is only going up from here simply due to the architecture on the new consoles.

My only fear is how the streaming industry is shaping games today. Take Wither 3 for example, from a dev that made a game THEY enjoyed, not caring on streamers advertising their game or anything like that. And it was one of the most popular games of the decade...

Then take in Division, sold by streamers raving about it, having streamers get access to it and be paid to rave about it. Create 'hype' etc. And what do you know, it's an incredible flop.

The new Ghost Recon game (Wish they would stop using the GR franchise name, as it's not anymore)? I was LOVING the concept until they spilled the 'coop essential' part. And watching rehearsed 'streams' of gameplay has filled me with worry that again, they are selling the game on a false promise. In reality, it will be a procedurely generated (in terms of missions) game in which you'll be thrown in with randoms if you don't have any online buddies who will just do as they please.

Why not go back to what the franchise was? Because it's hard to get streamers to rave about it, and thus, get pre orders in.

So, in summary, I'd not move away from PC, would like a console. But the gaming industry as far as I'm concerned is dying in favor for pre orders on false promises with a token game here and there appealing to people who want content instead of some shell of a game streamers are raving about.

I'm going to judge this quite simply.

I loved my xbox 360 playing Call of Duty 4 as I deemed it as being so much better and fluid than a mouse and keyboard, this was 9 years ago.

I recently bought CoD4 for my PC as it was cheap and wanted to give it a blast with Promod for the first time, and OMG is it amazing, it feels like I'm playing it from fresh again, feels so much better with a keyboard and mouse, and surprisingly I'm even better at quick scoping / trick shots after just a day playing than I was on console.

So no, I don't think I'll be going back to a console from PC.

My example is personal I guess, but I've noticed this in all games that I play! FPS = PC, Racing = Steering Wheel + I can play proper RTS games! No console is going to be able to play Company of Heroes or Total War, so I'm not interested! :p

Also as a very good Gears of War player, I'm excited that it's now on W10 store, which means I don't need my Xbox One as I'm expecting similar results with playing with a K&M over a controller like I have for years.

I nearly gave up pc gaming very recently, mainly to the PS4. This happened when my motherboard recently died, so I needed a replacement. The whole ballache of opening up the case again and disconnecting and reconnecting various components really was not something I wanted to do at the time, so temporarily I was using my PS4 and was quite happy. Eventually though, I missed too many things and decided to man up and sort out the motherboard.
