Well i've just been added by somebody from here on MSN. But they thing is they don't talk at all and just asked a/s/l and thats it?

Guessing after he found out i'm male he didn't bother answering?

But anyway, what runs through somebodies mind when they decide to randomly add a stranger then not talk to them?

I've had plenty of people add me to MSN and a few never talk. I've added people before just with them having caught my eye on here for any reason, or been to a meet and they ignored me all night and I wanted to find out why :p

Generally if someone adds me and doesn't talk to me for a while they get deleted.

Already done so. :p

I don't have the decency to talk after adding you.

Sorry, meant to say I don't want to keep people on my MSN list that don't have the decency to talk to me if they've just added me out of the blue.

Don't know what I was thinking when I wrote the previous post.

I wouldn't randomly add someone to MSN that I didn't know or at least have had some contact with before but I've got a few people on my MSN list that have just added me and then haven't spoken to me at all. I suppose I could just delete them but it doesn't bother me having them on the list so it just stays as it is.

lol I met someone in a random convo once, added them and we've been friends for almost 2 years. :p oh plus got a few decent friends from here aswell. But not everyone has the same things in common or can find something to talk about.

I've had lots of people add me randomly. About half talk, and about half of them talk more than once. Met a few interesting people that way.

I feel it is necessary to say my age whenever I start talking, and only one person ever has been put off by that (well - only one said they'd been put off). Most of those who to continue to talk say it's refreshing to talk to someone from a different age group.

And occasionaly I find I'm giving assistance with their maths homework.

In the reverse direction, and to answer the OP - no, I would never add anybody randomly.

^ Can you give me assistance with my maths homework? ;)

A few people have added me from here, but it's almost always been someone I'd want to talk to anyway - Sic, Carzy, Mohinder, Penski etc. I think I added Gilly rather than the other way 'round, but I don't really talk to him much. I can't remember why I added him, actually!

Edit: I also have Nige and Natasha on my MSN list. I think Nige added me but I haven't talked to him in ages and I don't see him around here either - wonder what happened. I don't think Natasha's ever been online. I added her because she seemed cool, but then she left too.

The first time you talked to me you grudgingly admitted that you liked me. Thats all I remember ;)

I've got a few randoms on my list. I'm going to start going through them all soon and deleting some of the weird ones lol.

It's not mainly the fact of being added randomly, it's mostly because I was added then i said hello, do I know you? Few minutes later I get this.

he says: lol ocuk.
he says: asl.
me says: 20/m/belfast
me says: you?

<blockage from me>

I've met people I still talk to know from random addage usually they add me. And that was about 5 years ago and we still talk.

I tend to get added rather than asking to be added :)

Those I don't talk to often get deleted, those who annoy me get blocked and deleted, but most people stay on there as they don't fall into the 2 categories above :)

Only thing that really bothers me from here though is when I accept an invite and they don't tell me thier forum name!

I've deleted a fair few people who've added me and then either said nothing, or didn't have anything at all interesting to say. People who add me and then ask me questions without telling me who they are tend to get deleted. The quickest delete was some guy who added me, and then wanted me to guess who he was - uh, no. I don't have time to play stupid guessing games.
