Would you randomly add someone to MSN?

I have all the mod team on there too, not many of them talk to me though :(
I talk to you!
Although not as much as I have in the past but lately I've been depriving all but about 2-3 on my msn list. Always seem to be busy :(

Does anyone else seem to go though ebbs on their msn list?

I can have like a week where no one talks to me, and the next week people wont leave me alone :p

I'm never too busy for you :x

I've said this to people before, I use the status in a bit of a weird way; if I'm busy then theres a chance I'm there and happy to talk or I might be AFK, if I'm set to online I'm probably bored and happy to chat :). If I'm offline then I'm either miserable or the PC is off ;)

I have someone on my msn list who lives about 10 miles away, never met em but we've talked for 3 years now. I have no idea how i started talking to her in the first place though :p might have been a chat room.
I also used to have 2 foreign randomers on the list, one girl from finland and some guy in pakistan. Again, no idea how they got on my list. They were great to talk to though :D

Edit: Sequoia, that's a shame because you're one of the small subset of people I'd like to have on my MSN list. I understand entirely that the sentiment might not be reciprocated, though!

I'd agree with Arcade Fire on this one, I'd be interested to speak with you(and a fair few others) but I completely understand that you and anyone else wouldn't necessarily feel like conversing back for whatever reason.

However I do only tend to speak to people I already know on a regular basis, anyone else I will speak to but that is at least partly because my time isn't measured in any worthwhile terms yet I'm afraid :)

I have no problem with anyone adding me to their list but what bugs are those that do it just to increase the size of their contact list.

Only message you get is 'Hi I'm from OcUK, can I add you?', then nothing, as others have said if no one actaully wants to be added for a reason (ie talk) then they are soon deleted.

I have around a dozen people from here on my MSN list.

A few of whom (Matblack, Gilly, Freefaller) I think I originally added to disucss a forum issue at some point and who I now rarely speak to.

Others I added (or was added by) people who have similar interests such as people from the motors forum (Fox, Westy, Conanius, Saitrix, Lostkat, Rg-Tom). I speak with a couple a lot more than the rest.

Other than that I have a couple of people from MM deals that I have never spoken to since the deals were complete, and one or two random others that I know are forums members and I'm not quite sure why they're on my list!

I'm not sure who half my MSN contacts are, I often begin a conversation with "who are you then?" :o :D

As for adding somebody I don't know, sure, if I find I don't like them, they go onto the ever increasing block list. :)

I never really add anyone to my msn list unless they've given me their address somewhere and asked me to. I do get random people adding me from time to time, but most of them never even say hello .

Have had a few add me from here randomly, only spoke to them a few times then i blocked and deleted them.
I rarely add anyone randomly unless they have caught my eye or attention etc. But i get quite a few random lasses adding me, asking me a/s/l then not saying anything:confused:.

Suffice to say they get deleted and blocked quickly, in fact i give most people a week on my msn and if they still havent made much of an effort i will block and delete them quite quickly.

Most of the people on my list are close friends and family, a few of my staff at work...thats about it i think.

I feel it is necessary to say my age whenever I start talking, and only one person ever has been put off by that (well - only one said they'd been put off). Most of those who to continue to talk say it's refreshing to talk to someone from a different age group.
Happy Birthday :).
