Presumably it was to the person that posted it, or it wouldn't have been posted.

It's certainly as worth it as a good many other GD threads. Which isn't saying much. :D

It's resulted in a slew of people adding me to their MSN lists, so it must be worth it for them just for the quality conversation they get from me. Er, yeah...

Edit: Sequoia, that's a shame because you're one of the small subset of people I'd like to have on my MSN list. I understand entirely that the sentiment might not be reciprocated, though!

I've always thought about adding a few people from here who seem to share the same tastes in music etc as me. But they also scare me a little bit...so i never dared.

I've had a fair few others add me though.

There are a number of people from here I'd cheerfully add to MSN if I used it that way, including you. But I don't use it, or forums, that way, I'm afraid.

I like forums when I'm in the mood, but one of the beauties of forums is that I have total control over when they intrude in my life. If I don't have time, have other concerns or am just not in the mood, I don't visit forums. If anyone had been watching my attendance here (which I rather doubt) they'll have noticed regular periods where I disappear, for days (or weeks) at a time. That's because I have other commitments at those times.

MSN comes directly through to me. For reasons of sheer practicality, the number of people that can get me that way is very small indeed and, as I said, limited to family, close friends and a few very important business contacts.

I don't wish to offend, AF, but nobody from any forum has that access, and I don't see it changing. Nothing personal.

I never add people randmly. I might add someone just to have a chat about something or if I have a question etc.

No offence taken! I'd be exactly the same if I had anything worth keeping private, or if my time was in any way valuable. ;)
 
I don't randomly add people simply because I only want people I'll actually talk to on my contact list.

Once a week or so I'll get someone add me but unless I recognise their email address or they've emailed me before hand, I don't authorise the request. I could authorise then delete later, maybe I'll start doing that from now on.

I've got 2 MSN addresses anyway, the public one which is in my trust and one which isn't public.
 
I VERY rarely add people unless I have a specific question to ask them.

The few people who have added me I have had some good conversations with, you know who you are :D others are after advice which I am happy to give if I can and which in some cases has lead to ongoing chats and a genunie e-friendship and then I have all the mod team on there too, not many of them talk to me though :(

I got attacked by loads of people off the board after some giant MSN convo :p

I've had people like Pyro add me so he could laugh at me about some post I made once :p Get along with the pierced begger alright though ;)

I think there's only two people i've added off the boards and that was: Scuzi & Yewen.

Haha yeah, another reason to steer clear of students and MSN. Find some weird leftovers of group conversations in the morning :D

Edit: No! Most definitely not! Everyone knows I always stay home! :innocent-otadon-type-look: :eek:
