Would you randomly add someone to MSN?

I get loads of people add me randomly from here.
I wait to see if they'll PM me first (because I assume if they're adding me, they do want to talk), if they don't after a few days I just delete them.
If they talk to me once then never again, delete them.

I tend not to use MSN much and rarely have it switched on - bloody new fangled nonsense :p

The only people on mine are family, a few close friends and a few people from here who have contacted me for various reasons (usually for the purpose of haggling for stuff from the MM).

It depends on how I feel at the time. If I'm a little tipsy and feel like a chat to some friendly stranger I will accept but if I'm in an anti-social mood or I think they may be a pain, then they get rejected.

Well, I've had my turn ;)

And in answer to the OP - Nah, I very rarely add someone on msn randomly. People who add me and don't talk do my head in.
 
I generally forget to load up MSN :o

I have yahoo set up to log in automatically so tend to use that more

Did get a random MSNer a while back - a m_dpass but I have no idea who it was, they never spoke to me and I never saw them online so they got deleted

I vary rarely block people unless they really annoy me so there are probably loads of people who see me log in who I never talk to because I deleted them :o

I dont think I've ever randomly added anyone. I have a fair few forum people but dont regularly talk to many of them. I keep thinking 'ooh, shall I say Hi?' then talking myself out of it. Stoopid confidence :(

I can testify, though, that random MSN addage can seriously damage your social life, bank balance and all round sanity!
 
Have a few from the board users on here in my list who ive dealt with vis the MM havent talked to them much since but since i had good dealings with them ive no reason to delete them tbh, but in general i dont just let people on my msn totally random.
 
I had someone add me before and then in the messenger window was a link to a naughty webcam site :eek: . Ive only had it happen once and found it quite strange.

Generally get random people adding me if ive been invited into a group convo or some such.

I'l normally start the convo just out of interest to see who it is, but if they don't talk much generally good old block delete. Though there has been 1 or 2 random adds that ive made friends with and continued to talk to over quite a long period of time.

I really don't understand why some people add me never talk and ignore me when i talk.. whats the point O.o? Too many weird people in this world tbh XD

No. Not under any circumstances.

Firstly, I'm careful who gets my MSN details, and who gets the email address used for that.

Secondly, MSN is for family, close friends and a VERY small number of business contacts. Any requests to add to my MSN are declined unless I know exactly who it is, am expecting it, and want to give them that level of direct access.

I treat MSN access the way I treat my direct phone line number - I'm extremely selective indeed about who gets it.
