I will just move this down the thread every so often rather than leaving it dumped in the middle of nowhere, just whisper each other in game and get one another on your friends list. Everyone is on mine so i'll drop you a shout in game and quest a bit as well if we are the same level. Me and andypandy got to level 10 together so far.

Just hit 10 on my hunter (yeah I know, I am soooo pro :p) absoloutly loving the newly designed world! Durotar is great and thats just the first zone, Orgrimmar is fantastic and soon off too Northern Barrens to see how good that looks!

I quite like the name Bans hammer too :)

I've never played much on a PVP server, when do you start having to worry about the gank squad showing up? Do you die a lot when solo questing? I'm guessing it's much better to do stuff in a group?

Generally you don't really have many issues, at least I never did, some people willl jump you especially if you are on low health and they see an oppertunity but theres always people like that. Though it remains to be seen on release of cata and flying mounts there will probably be a sizeable group of ******* who just flying around causing grief for people but they will be in a minority. Being in a group will probably help but I doubt there will be much "ganking" more random scraps of people not toom any levels apart as all the zones will be crowded now with people wanting to see the new world.

Are there any rules on what levels can join the guild? I'd love to xfer my level 68 Tauren Warrior over and don't fancy starting fresh as it's taken me over a year to get to 68 as I don't get a lot of playtime. I'm sure even with a 68 level headstart, I'll be one of the last to hit 85.

Dont go undead for mages, racials have been nerfed. Still waiting on my authenticator getting sorted, i want to see the shattering! Might have to get a trial account lol.

We should have a name that can be taken either way on an rp server - what about <Bans Hammer> lol.

Ah crap, I didn't realise :(. Typical I started to level that one too last night but I only got to lvl 6 anywho so i'll delete & restart something else.

Seems like we have decided on everything we need to go ahead and form the guild. Shall we try to set it up this weekend? Better to get it done sooner than leaving it too close to the launch of cata IMO.

Sooner the better for me, I wasn't planning on leading but if it gets things going I will and then hand over if somebody else wants lead or members think someone else can do a better job!

I think we need some kind of council to decide substantive stuff. Its going to get a bit messy when we get to proper clan issues like banks, disruptive players, organising events or runs for lewt, recruiting and stuff like that. I'll post some more on the reroll forum.

Still havent got my frikkin authenticator sorted! gah. so may not be on this weekend.

Dont let me put you off your mage! I mean, theres a category of player who doesnt think racials are important and why not? WoW can be played as seriously or as loosely as you want to play it.

Its just that the undead racial 'will of the forsaken' used to be a free 'escape' button whjenever you were immobilised, like in a rogue stun. Then it was decided that it was too powerful because there was already an escape mechanism through 'Insignia of the Horde' and undead had two escape mechanisms. So now it stacks, so if you have insignia your racial is on the same damn timer. My mage is a troll so i can stack beserking (20% attack speed increase for 10 secs) with other mage abilities and be insane for short periods of time. Just a thought.

Anyhow if youre serious about levelling a mage only three things you need to know:

1. Our leader is Archmage Pants.
2. Archmage Pants writes the incredibly useful Arcane Brilliance page on Joystiq. Everything you need to know is there - here is the url for the start of the levelling guide - http://wow.joystiq.com/2009/09/19/arcane-brilliance-mage-leveling-guide-getting-started/ - by the way, the information is a bit dated, undead racial does now stack with pvp trinkets so be aware.
3. We hate warlocks. Why? Some may say we are jealous, but in actual fact its because we hate angst ridden teenage goths with a pet complex. We will often go out of our way to assassinate warlocks, even if it means dying. Its all in a bit of fun.

I dont see any problem with this. 2 things to remeber though:

The majority of people in the guild will be quite low level initially, because of this they will be playing through different content to you. I'm sure some will catch up soon enough though.

Transfering server is quite expensive and it is hard to predict how the guild will eventually turn out. I dont think any of us would want someone to pay to transfer over and then be disappointed with how things work out.
