thinking of re=rolling, i have a mage and a paladin around lvl 15, which one is it wiser to play?, im thinking the pala because they are healers and can be tanks aswell, but the mage is so much more fun :(

dont want to lvl all the way up then find out ive got about as much chance of getting in to raids as,,, well not much chance ;)

Mages are *the* most wanted dps class in all situations up until the very high end 25-man raid stuff where they are currently a little bit underpowered on boss fights, but are still brought in decent numbers. Stick with the Mage.

I had a druid, then a rogue, then a hunter, then a mage, then a warlock.
After the druid, the warlock's the one I love the most, but I'm finding it pretty hard to get groups (PUGs) which is no bad thing, since PUGs suck.

Groups always seem to need 3 things: Tank, Healer and Crowd Control.. the rest is dps.

Warlocks aren't great a CC, and druids are rubbish, next to none unless it's a beast/dragonkin.

Anyway, warlocks rock. Dead easy to solo/grind/level, and rather mighty at PVP I reckon.

Totally misunderstood class. They're a support class I think, sure, they can't heal, but a well played lock in the group can really make things much better.

I know I ain't playin World of Warcrack any more due to can'tbebotherdtodoanythingbutwowites(an extremely nasty condition)

But I recommend Huntard So much fun If you ignore Beastmastery & Marksman Trees!

warlock is best. there are so many styles of play you can use so it's like having 3 classes in one. Plus there is a lot more skill involved in this class when you are juggling curses, seductions, shadowbolts all at once. There is much more scope for become a well respected player than a mage who just depends on how much +dmg gear it has and how rapidly you can click your mouse.

Maybe so, but a decent player who knows how to play their mage can have a lot more fun than simply bashing a single key press. How many classes do you know that can solo 15+mobs same lvl at the same time?
Granted raiding with a mage can become very tiresome but isnt that the same with most classes end-game?

No class in WoW is hard to play. I've seen Warlocks who just stand there, dot up a couple of people and drain life and get 2 honour kills without even bothering to move. That's not hard work. On the other hand, the Mages who could AoE down 2 packs of elite crocodiles at once in Zul Gurub, *that* was skill.

Trust me playing as a survival spec Huntard Is in no way easy!!!

Dunno. I pretty much soloed my mage alt to exalted with ZG by doing the croc packs. Once you get the hang of it it's fairly routine.

As for rerolling, atm I'd go for a Warlock. They don't appear to be getting any nerfs at all in the near future.

The characters I've had the most fun leveling have been my affliction warlock and feral druid. Almost no downtime and the warlock soloed every elite quest thrown at her by fear kiting, drain tanking or enslaving elite demons :).

Paladins are only a usefull tank until you start raiding, then they become healadin's. Whereas a mage will always be a mage. Frost mage = aoe fun.

Not always true. The MT in our raid team is a prot pally and he is an excellent tank.

90% of Pallys may have gone Holy since TBC but it's upto you how you play a class. Don't let raiding force you into a certain spec. After all youll only be getting gear for your current spec.

I really enjoy playing druids as they are so versatile. If you want a change just respec instead of rolling a different class. Youve got stealth, very nice dps in catform, tanking in bearform, boomkin dps + healer hybrid or just healer. So many ways to play the class.

HUNTER! BEAST MASTERY!

wih the right blend of gear, you are unstoppable.

i LOVED my hunter so much, but quit after getting tired of farming rep in TBC 3 weeks after turning 70 with it.

its the most stable class for solo if you ask me, and if you can get a decent pet, your also set up for even more fun. and even in pvp, you are VERY hard to take down if you get the first shot as a hunter.

hmmm.... wheres my purse? feel like playing :P

ags

shadow priest is the ownage imo, no one could beat me 1 on 1 pvp in a duel!!! tho I could play my class welll.

Hybrid classes and those with pets are the most fun. That is hunter, warlock, shaman, and druid.

Paladins are only wanted in endgame as healers and buffers. Try speccing retribution and going raiding! :p

Sorry, had to step in here and correct you. I comfortably tank every single boss in Kara (apart from Aran off course) and have tanked Gruul fairly easily last week. Paladins can tank endgame but it's just harder due to a crappy protection talent tree and low HP. Saying that, i tank at 17.5k HP at the moment and only have 5 epics. I reckon i will eventually hit 19-20k HP
