Wraith Stealth Cooler

I'm sure pretty much any tower cooler will be fine with a 65w chip.

FWIW, I've used one of these before on an R5 1600 build for a friend, OC'd to 3.6GHz it barely broke 45 degrees under load!

Definitely a good option at that price point, I'm now wondering if I can get away with it short term on my 5950x while I clean out my WC loop :P

@TrojanWhore that is indeed decent though shame ocuk don't offer free shipping below £20 minimum spend any more
(i'd have got that cr-1000 otherwise, instead of the 214xt)

for £13-14 (cr-1000 + shipping vs 214xt) the 214xt is probably the better cooler, and with lga 1700 support right off the bat

Well I contacted the supplier via online chat as I wanted to change my refund from a gift card to a credit card refund and I told them I’d already put the incorrect cooler in the post using their prepaid return label.

So they have already begun processing a refund to my credit card which is great and I didn’t have to use their QR code return system which is confusing to an old timer like me.

So looks like things have worked out great, received wrong cooler but got to take advantage of prime day.

Got it all installed, hardest part was fitting the fan clips to the heatsink. Max temps running Cinebench R23 67C this is PBO set to AUTO my Cinebench score has gone up a bit as well from 12735 to 13130. I enabled PBO just to see what score I'd get and I got 14302 but temps were max 85C so its not worth overclocking with PBO.

3D Mark CPU score gone up a bit as well...

Average 3D Mark temp 65C down from 83C, and Cinebench R23 temps down from 83C to 67C with PBO set to AUTO.

Update, bought a new Fractal Torrent case, temps under Cinebench R23 with PBO set to AUTO 60C, enabled PBO and reached a max temp of 76C. Gaming in BF2042 spiked to 67C but mostly under 60C, with PBO enabled spiked to 72C but mostly in the 60s. Idle temp 31C.
