Wreckfest devs go bankrupt.

Maybe but there is still going to be no money until i see a finnished released product and some Metacritic reviews to boot. Maybe you people work long hours and think nothing off throwing cash away but my idea in life is to keep my money and thus lots of free time to enjoy things.
Also the whole we need to fund these kind of developers is complete manure lads, I have been gaming for maybe twenty years and crowdfunding has NOT changed anything apart from making sure loads of generic trash is flooded into the market like Steam being the perfect example of how a platform can resemble a small quality shop to something akin to a fifty acre Lidl that has to be waded through lol. And even the big studios are not above using it to avoid risking thier own money. In the future they will probably crowdfund Far Cry 44 instead of risking a few million quid.

whats going on with this the game is still on steam and being updated, has he just siphoned company funds off-shores to avoid tax or something?

Yeah, Wasteland 2, Prison Architect, Project Eternity, Shadowrun and FTL to name a few games just shouldn't exist right? Because If it wasn't for crowd funding they wouldn't.
You seem really upset about the choices people you don't know make with their own money.
