Wrestling related WCW/NWA

I'd highly recommend Silvervision's tagged classics series for people if they want to start getting some oldschool dvd's. Two full oldstyle PPV events in one set :) Survivior series and wrestlemanias are my current favs :)

The Road warriors (legion of Doom) tribute set is also definitely worth a look :)

As for the old matches, get yourself a NES and a copy of an old wrestling game and recreate the matches yourself.

Wrestlemania 4........ oh yeah!!! That was the one that was released on two videos right? 16 match tournament or something for the vacant WWE title.

Interesting Fact that Jack the Snake came over here to live a few years back (anyone whos seen beyond the mat will know he's basically a drunken wreck these days) but got done for animal cruelty to his pet snake (allegedly didnt feed him for weeks) and so he high tailed it back to the states!

Its quite depressing to read up on some of the real people behind the legends as a lot of them lose there way once the they have had there day with WWE :(
 
The industry doesnt seem to have got any better. Heard wrestlers these days are under lots of pressure and take "X" amount of supplements, drugs and steroids in order to perform for the crowd. Eddie Guerrero is a sad example of the industry not looking after its talent :(
 
Ive watched Stings Film "Sting: Moment of Truth" theres a good watch! Its a weird docufilm but i enjoyed it. As for TNA its 100% better than WWE for wrestling but i feel its going down the WCW road which isnt good, that was a poorly run business with Hulk Hogan pulling the strings. This time its Jeff Jerret. WTF Scott Steiner came back at Destination X - hes the worst wrestler ever! TNA are still looking for a headliner - if they got Goldberg which has been rumoured it will rival WWE!

Agreed - Scott Steiner is a poor choice of talent for any wrestling rosta. Hes got the build for it but hes too injury prone, plus hes got a problem with his temperament.

How can I get to watch TNA? Ive got cable so what channel would I need to be watching? Is the talent rosta on TNA massive or is it just enough to keep the fans entertained?

its on The Wrestling Channel and sometimes Eurosport not sure of the times. The Roster has more talent than both WWE shows imo!

Lots of taped wrestling matches from the TV over the years, most of them are from the WWF in the mid 80's, with a few names you will know and lots of youngsters who were just starting out, then became legends ;)

There just the ones off the top of my head. I have some Sports Illustrated ones as well, they have the NWA/ AWA matches on including The Road Warriors Vs the Koloff's, the Von Erich's, Harley Race Vs Flair, Jerry Lawler Vs Andy Kauffman, etc..........
 
What number is the wrestling channel on cable? And at what time will it be on?

Mysticsniper, I am interested in the stuff you got but Im guessing its on VHS because it was recorded back in the day?

Answer.....none its only available on sky (channel 427 on that)

Destination X is on at 8pm-12pm on TWC this Sunday, be worth watching for the ultimate X Match (Samoa Joe V AJ Styles V Christopher Daniels) alone!

Yeah mate, its all on VHS; cause of the old skool wrestling, before it got too much like a soap opera :p
