I flicked that switch on my first pc in 1995, luckily I was able to replace the fuse inside the psu and all was well.

They go with a real bang sometimes, sparks and all. I've seen a couple go pop because some muppets thought it would be funny to unplug the pc and change the switch ready for when someone connects it back up!
