WWE's Chris Beniot & family found dead.

However, WWE could regret doing the whole 3 hour tribute stuff if it actually turns out he murdered his wife and kid. :(

Even if it was a double murder then it doesnt take away any of the achievements he had through his life and that he was a great wrestler.

they said the familly were coughing up blood... so perhaps it was a death, death suicide?

maybe, but it was Benoit himself who said they were coughing up blood. it's all a bit to early for me to be guessing really, but if Benoit was really capable of murdering his family, then he could has easily been capable of lying about them before the events took place

It does worry me what the effects of steroids are on these guys. Eddie Guerrero was a classic example of a guy who wasn't very big, disappeared off the scene for a few months and returned absolutely HUGE. That can't be healthy and his heart attack is what were all taught at school about the side effects of steroid taking, along with extreme aggression in some cases :(

RIP Benoit :(

Have Vengance and RAW to watch tonight. He was one of my favourite wrestlers and the reason i have put ECW back onto series link. He was my bet for the ECW belt at Vengance to complete his collection (i believe thats the only belt he hasn't held?).

Lets hope that as horrible as it is what has happened that it doesn't overshadow an outstanding career

Fayette County, Georgia police are investigating Benoit's house following the discovery of the bodies. Lieutenant Tommy Pope of the Fayette County Sheriff's Department reported to ABC News that sheriffs entered his home on a "welfare check" after missing several appointments, leading to concerns.[85] Pope also stated the police are not searching for any suspects outside of the house, as the instruments of death were located at scene of the crime.[86]

The same day Detective Bo Turner of the Fayette County Sheriff's Department told television station WAGA-TV that the case was being treated as a murder-suicide, and the station reported that investigators believe that Benoit murdered his wife and son over the weekend and commited suicide sometime on Monday

shocking that out of that big list of dead wrestlers the majority died of heart attacks at a young age or committed suicide

RIP his family :(

I'm utterly shocked by this, one hell of a legend of a wrestler, and such a tragedy, one of Eddie Guerrero's closest friends passes away not more than a year after Eddie. May they be reunited in heaven, RIP Chris, and I must say, I think WWE must now drop the "Vince is dead" storyline after this. I did think the other night what they'd do if something like this happened, and sadly, it has.

A massive loss to the wrestling world. :(

Yes, but a three hour tribute to someone who murdered their wife and kid doesn't look good really.

Its a bit like Top of the Pops doing a two hour special dedicated to the paedo Gary Glitter.

Couldn't the WWE just wait until it's confirmed that he murdered his family.

If he did, perhaps a tribute to his family and to his wrestling character, rather than directly to himself would be more appropriate?

Guerrero had several other drug addictions aswell though, but yes his obvious overuse of steroids probably had something critical to do with it.
