Thanks God he said no to Christopher Maloney.

His voice is good but not amazing and has a tone that I find almost unpleasant to listen to, and his whole demeanour just sets my bloody teeth on edge; he's such a goddamn blubbery wuss in a way that (unlike Jahmene, who is just fragile i na very different way) I can't sympathize with. "Im a simple guy from Liverpoowell and things like this just don't happen to things like me". I mean seriously, would you buy his records? Not a spark of real fire in him, and I hope he doesn't get Wildcarded.

I liked the polo guy though, had a kind of Paul Wella vibe about him. Seemed like a nice guy too.

he has a very good voice imo and deserves a shot.

putting that mincer through was a waste of time, he's a fraud.

He's got an ok voice, good by most standards I guess, but I just don't personally feel it's a good recording voice at all compared to many of the other guys in the competition. He certainly (imo) has nothing on Jahmene, James or Melanie not to mention a couple of the girls. There's just something about the tone that really grinds on me, kind of like a constant warble that's always present in it.

As for the mincer, that is the only real openly cold and cynical marketing decision I have seen out of all the groups so far. The guy has at best a completely flat and average singing voice, and it's patently obvious that they are trying to market his Drama Llama camp As Christmas Essex semi-personality.

In fact, if we don't see him on The Only Way Is Essex within the next 6-12 months, I will personally get a clump of soggy toilet tissue, bang some ketchup over it, and eat it. It is his next natural career move before doing something else on TV, guaranteed.
 
ok we'll have to agree to disagree on maloney but i agree on your feelings on the essex queen.

if the x-factor wants to be taken seriously, they haven't done themselves any favours here.
 
£24 bet, ignoring the 4 favourites as I would lose money even if they win.

This way, I have 12 out of 16 acts that at the very least would win me £7, and at the very best £586.

I'm in for Adam also, he's the best out of the wildcards imo. If your man from Liverpool gets through I'll be disappointed.
