X-Factor Winner?!

Now that hes won Xfactor, he will probably make one song which will be a ripp off of a Big Hit from the 80s and then you will never hear from him again, lol, what a waste of programming and time and peoples money.

I agree but while the viewing figures are up it will still be aired. Its cheap viewing. It is the revenue that is generated by the show that drives it at the expense of people craving the lime light.

Here today gone tomorrow there will always be a wannabe who will be disposable.

The problem is people on this show haven't worked out they are expendable, and will be plundered for all their worth.

The only people who gain are Cowell "exploitation" inc

Its all about the queens head

thank god its over!

louie walsh does my nut. in the first series he used to be a creditable opinion, now hes just a complete nob. wtf does Danni Minogue know about singing ability!?!? and as for Sharon Osbourne.... gawd.

Only one there with any hope of judging singing talent is Simon Cowell.

Rhydian deserved to win based on vocal ability but as said - classical singers wont win x-factor. weird classical singers have even less chance. wtf is going on with his hair!?

saying all that though - i liked Rhydians personality and humbleness. he would have won it hands down if they based it on that.

I think you'll find there's only ever been one X-Factor winner.

:D

didn't watch it, but i've heard hundreds of peopel talking about it and all say rhydian will win (no one said leon)... smells to me like it's fixed as some opera singer from wales will hardly make record sales in the long term will he?

I quite like what get said about Big Brother on these very forums and i think it applies to X-Factor. Winning this is like winning the speical olympics, you're still 'special'.

There has only ever been one decent person come off of that show. Leona Lewis. Shes doing very well for her self at the moment, and her latest song isnt too bad. 6-7 weeks at number 1 is it?
I only watched the live shows a few times this year. And from the very first time I watched it, up until last night... Leon has come along way. Lets be serious.. Would the Welsh guy actually do anything in the charts? Would he balls. If he had won it would have been like it was all those years ago, with all the muppits releasing 1 hit wounders and never hearing from them again.
Atleast if they give Leon a good team to work with with goods songs with it I could see him doing something. Even Westlife saif the only one out of the compotition that would do something in the charts is Leon (well they said something like that anyway).

But he can't even sing in tune! And he looks like a moron. And he's Scottish :D

Since when has that stopped anyone? Let's face it, the whole show is to prove that anyone can be a hit with enough backing. As Ben Elton says, it's NOT a talent show.

Seen some of the welsh & scottish bloke's stuff now. Can't see welsh one as any more than a one-hit wonder, so at least the program makers have gone for someone who might be able to actually sell more than one song. Although, one Michael Buble is plenty, thank you. But the women'll love it, and it'll get a ton of radio airtime.

All money into Cowell's pocket.

True, Shayne Ward has done well with what he's been given.

As for Leona, maybe people should actually read at what she's been doing and more importantly, who she's been working with for 12 months before commenting.
Leona will be around even bigger next year, here AND in America.

Not a hope, she has zero personality. My god she can sing but sadly in todays climate of celebrity that won't be enough.

She is dull, anytime she's interviewed it's painfull.

Did you hear her sing Snow Patrols run in the live lounge. She slowed the song down so it lasted about 5 weeks. The most boring song i've ever heard. I almost fell asleep at the weheel of the car. Yet all the way through I couldn't get over how great her voice was but it was just dull.

I doubt very much she has longevity.

I really didn't care this year, there was no-one who really stuck out for me (although Nikki had something special), so I wasn't that fussed who won.

If it was down to ability, talent and longevity, I'd have said Rhydian would win hands down. I really disliked him at first but it was impossible to ignore his talent. As it was, Leon won. I guess Leon will have a no1 selling album then it's hit and miss. This will absolutely not be the last we hear of Rhydian though - he's got a future on Broadway at the very least. Phantom of the Opera anyone?

I can't believe people really don't belive that Opera is a huge selling market just because they don't listen to it - Katherine Jenkins, Lesley Garret, Kiri thingywotsit, Il Divo, Paul Potts - they've all made a fortune out of it and they're just the more contemporary in the market. (I hate Opera myself, but there's no denying it's a huge industry). As for the hair - it's a gimmick - it's to get him noticed, and it worked, didn't it?

Rhyidan reminds me of Freddie Mercury a little. He's unusual, he has a great voice which he can turn to different styles - and he has a preference towards Opera, which Freddie always had.

Leon's single will be number 1 - it was ok, but Rhydian's version was stunning.

At the end of the day, it's just money into ITV/Cowell's pocked. 1 percent between the two of them - all the way though the show, AGAIN?? Who'd have thought it?

The best or not, I can't understand how people can say Leon "can't even sing in tune" or other such nonsense.
He clearly has a very good voice.
Time to get your hearing checked imo :)
