Don't have my hopes high, but do dream about 5.0... 
I have 5.0 chips yes. Two infact. One for bench one for 8Pack systems. 5ghz is less than 4% of chips so these won't be available on the website till we stock afew.
3-4 weeks.

Check the core voltage out... hardly a 24/7 proposition!
There is no way that's the core voltage, cpu-z had a bug which showed the input volts
for those considering the chip here, mine@ 4.8 gets 28470 Physics score in 3dm fire strike and ~14450 in time spy cpu.

@8 Pack, Ian what is the success rate of boxed 7740X for 5.3Ghz+, after de-liding and applying liquid metal of cource?
Your binned 5.4 7740X chip, would it work on a X299 Tuf Mark 2 or on the Strixx only? Also, does your 4500Mhz C18 ram runs at 4266 on these boards, and if so, what's the stepping? C17?
EK told me today that they are making a X299 Tuf Mark 2 compatible monoblock, hence I am asking about that board. Because it lowers the overall budget, so I can get the higher ram and not 4133.
Decided I will grab one of these, and wait the Coffee Lake-X next Spring for higher core count

How about the motherboards to pair them with the binned 5.4Ghz one? Which one to get but stick on budget?

That Voltage is VCCIN these chips are FIVR so need input Voltage. Real Vcore is 1.25v. On LN2 these chips don't scale passed around 1.55v in any case. That voltage would kill them even on LN2.
Are all binned to 4.9 stable at 1.25 vCore? Any update on shipment date yet?

hi 8pack, when are your i9 bundles going to be up for sale?
also does the bundles come with several oc profile's and possibly a stock profile?
for example in winter i want the ful wack in summer possibly a lower clocked oc and lastly a 3rd stock profile when im just browsing the net not doing any gaming etc?

No its not man. Crazy old version of 3d mark. I not benching for scores as such. I can run 5.9 no problem if you want to see who's is higher??

For sure always have stock profile to troubleshoot issues. As for lower oc profile not usually no.
