X3 reunion

where did you find the nvidium? ive been looking for some for this Xtended mission i need to do

If you go to Kingdoms End with a M5 with some BIRE's fitted (ones enough). And a Freighter (5000+ cargo is best, Superfreighter, even more so) and send that to Kingdoms End as well. Tell them both to move to the position X = 0, Y = 0, Z = 3000m or anywhere near that point. You need to give the mercury an Ore Collector, navigation software 1, special command software 1. Rename them to Nividium Collector, or anything with Nividium in it. I prefer to call the Mercury i use 'Nividium Collector' and the M5 'Nividium Breaker'.

Order the M5 to break asteroids in the combat menu. And order the Mercury to Collect Ore in sector. Because they have Nividium in their names, the M5 will head towards any Nividium roid within scanner range (thats why duplex or triplex is recommended). But the M5 won't break up any Ore or Silicon roids. The freighter then starts collecting the Nividium roids that are small enough to scoop (the M5 makes them small enough). But again, because it has Nividium in its name, it'll only collect Nividium. However, leave the system before you give those commands.

If you are in system, the freighter drops its shields everytime it collects a roid but because of the number of roids it can impact others and die. The same for the M5. If you are out of sector, the mercury isn't damaged by any impacts with small roids.

Leave said ships alone for 4-5 game hours. Keep an eye on the freighters cargobay. You'll see it scooping Nividium. There is a second location within Kindoms End with Nividium. X = 2.8km, Y = 3.6km, Z = 14.25km.

If you tell the mercury to notify you when orders complete, you should get a message. Then move both to the second spot and repeat.

Afterwards, you should have about 1'100 units of Nividium in the cargohold (4 units each means about 4500 cargo. Now, if you need it for a mission, take it where ever its needed. Any spare you have, send the freighter to a shipyard and sell it (sell the ship as nowhere buys Nividium in large quantities). You'll also recieve the average price for the Nividium as well which is very high. I think 1100 units sells for around 8-9 million credits. So your balance increases massively. Do not put more freighters to each location as it can take longer as they compete against each other, plus you'll be selling the entire ship afterwards so putting a second ship therhe takes the cost of that ship out of your pure proffitttsss.

There are more Nividium spots all around the universe. Xenon Sectors are full of it but not safe. There is one location with a large amount of Nividium in an empire system. Kingdoms End has a roid 4 type (yield 25-28) which is approximately 350 roids for about 1100 N. But I think this other system (which im not saying which :P) has a roid 0 type (yield 48) which is about 11'000 Nividium roids (roids can contain 1 unit or more of Nividium) when all broken up to the smallest size. I read that someone who had 5-6 freighters and M5's doing the same trick and hauling to a TL in system when full, took absolutely ages. The guy sold the TL at a ship yard for almost 100 million credits. So that was about 80 million credits worth of Nividium. All this can be automated and left to its own devices while you do other things in game, like upping your race rank to fly M1's and M2's. But the credits are better spend towards huge complexes to increase your funds long term if you havent already. Fantastic way to start a new game. Especially if you are after Avarice.

Hint, there are three more roid 4 types in Elena's fortune but its not a core sector like KE. So you might want to put a few patrols in the sector to protect against pirate intrusions. You don't want to lose a freighter with a few thousand Nividium in its hold. Or its a previous gamesave back several hours game time, or lose the nividium as once its gone, its gone.

Wow, that was a long post :P
