X58A UD3R (OC Bundle) Problem

Okay new build. Initial installation was fine, received the graphics card today and went about plugging everything in. On first boot i noticed the problem. Its as if i don't have the graphics card plugged in. The graphics fan spins but the monitor (both of which i have tried) just don't detect anything. I thought it might be a problem with the card (Zotac GTX 260[squared]) so i whipped that out and stuck in my old 8600gt, again the same problem. Any help?

Here is what i'm using:

Try turning the monitor off then back on
I had it a couple of times with my ud5 before I flashed to latest bios

One thing try it do a CMOS reset, you will loose your overclock, but may get you going.

Actually being a OCUK bundle the Overclock hopefully be saved as a profile in the BIOS.
 
Tried turning off and on and off and on and off and on just does nothing and yes, as far as i can tell its in the slot its supposed to be in, PCIEX16_1
 
Did you use stand-offs when installing the motherboard into the case and did you remove any unused ones?

Also, did you plug in both motherboard power connectors (8 pin one and the long 24 pin one) as well as the graphics card power connections?
 
If i do a CMOS reset will it not void the warrenty?

"Note - Updating the BIOS on the overclocked bundle range will void the warranty on the overclock. If you update the BIOS we will no longer be able to provide support for configuring and maintaining the CPU overclock."
 
Updating the BIOS means flashing it with a new version, a CMOS reset just resets the settings to defaults. The OCUK overclock profile should be able to be re-activated when you get it all working.
 
The two 6 pin graphics cables are plugged in and the 24pin into the motherboard is plugged in. Cannot find the 8pin, is that above the cpu cooler? your question about the standoffs i didn't put any in myself but my friend said that as the board is not touching the case he assumes they were already there
 
what slots are the ram in? mine did this when i put them in the blue ones.

my machine takes a while after it spins up before it posts and unless i disconnect the power, everytime i turn it on it will power down once before it finally posts.
 
The ram is in the white slots. i've found the two 4 connectors from the psu just gotta try and plug thm in around the fenrir. its kinda big
 
The white ones are correct I believe, you will need the 8 pin so hopefully you should be up and running :)
 
FINALLY managed to get the 8 pins and booted up. Went to a gigabyte screen :) haven't been any further as i've not eaten in 3 days so i'll check back after some spag bog :) Thanks for the help guys =D
 
Okay so everything was running fine and had been ever since I got it first working but then about a week ago i started hearing this kind of clicking and i couldnt work out what it was, turns out it was one of the fans in the top of the case. it was kinda loose, anyways i turned the computer back on "kapoof" sizzle cloud of smoke... i turn it off and take the top of the case off, one of the cables from the OTHER top fan had completely exploded, black all along the red cable and it'd fried off from it connector. i hadnt touched that fan and it deffinatly wasnt like that when i removed the top 5 minutes prior. I really have no idea what happened.

any ideas?
