Well it's not going to be a permanent solution, but it seems good enough for web browsing, haven't tried watching films yet. Need to figure out how to install android 2.2 for flash.

The touch screen is not very responsive and needs a firm pressure, it's only single point so, no two finger zooming, although they have double tap. So no where as slick as a modern mobile phone but then it can now be had for £120.

Also can't figure out how to transfer files on to it so can't test video that way at the moment.

So although it will serve a purpose for the moment it is not a long time solution and I will be upgrading when the real android tablets come out.
Will try and post more as I use it.

reason its not that responsive on the screen is its not capacitive and its infact resistive.
as for transferring files to it, i think you can use astro file manager to access wireless/wired computer files.

thanks for the comments. Not sure if its good or bad though lol

For the price it is neither and may well be better out there with what I know now. Been using it today, and been getting use to the touch screen. Figured out, how to get SD card to show up on desktop so got music across. nice loud speaker and winamp works great in the back ground.

Found out the processor does not support Flash which is annoying as that's what love film and the likes use. Although there is a youtube app, if that's your type of thing, looks fine on the screen.

The single point touch screen is a massive limitation and the no g-sensor is very annoying.

So unless you have an actual need (browsing web and watching films in a hotel room for example), you don't mind wasting some money and taking a large price hit for what will probably be 4 months of use, then I really wouldn't waste your money.

One thing I do really like is the return button on the right hand side, which acts as a back button in all apps. It's do good wish the iphone had such a button. Will be a feature I look for.

Thanks for the pics! Maybe this thread should be moved to mobiles for better coverage?

You'll need Android 2.2 to support flash, the 800Mhz arm 11 cpu should be ok for small stuff once updated? (No idea what features the Telechips version has though :p)
Shame about the resistive touch screen, pinch to zoom is such a useful feature for web browsing. Although you could try xScope 6 and it's great PIN zoom (double tap/hold to zoom)

Those wanting a cheap tablet should defiantly wait a week for the Advent Vega.

Yep, the back/menu buttons work really well. I hope Apple adds the extra functionality to iOS soon.

No idea at the moment, haven't tried HDMI yet. Can probably test a big standard eve to xvid rip out in the next few days.

According to android tablet forums(found whom trying to figure something stuff out) only certain cpus are supported.
It has double tap for zoom which works fine and touchscreen is a lot better with stylus.
