sry elrasho, i couldnt connect to you earlier so i didnt want to try again today...i am ready to play same time tomorrow anyway.

i will explain my bro defeat on his behalve :)

his excuse is it was laggy game, but quite simply put, he didnt have a warm up game and he didnt know how to deal with chun li crouching and c.lp and sweep, not the most ideal way into a match. his jumpin attacks were missing and eating jabs and combos in return. he should have at least ask me, a chun li player, what to do.

rob, this is for you ;)

I'll get in as many league games as I can tomorrow. Not feeling too confident right now as I seem to be playing like crap lol.

ggs earlier Jaguar nice balrog.
Sorry I didn't play earlier I was challenged to a game of monopoly with the old man in which I lost swiftly as he got Park Lane and Mayfair in 2 laps round the board and then got me with a couple of houses on Mayfair. The game had barely begun :(

Also played Sproutmaster, I won 3 games to 1: 1 - 2 2 - 0 2 - 1 2 - 1. Hated gis crossup blanka balls didnt know what to do, gg man

Confirming. Realised im pretty rubbish against abel. Dont know if its just me not knowing how to fight him properly as Blanka but it alway seems like most of his moves have priority over Blankas. Cross up balls cant be as annoying as hearing the sound of your beast roll only to be thrown  :p

Dont think im gonna have chance to get on tomorrow morning now so im wont be able to get on the play anymore games as i'll be in Reading until Monday evening

Np DrSk... first match on training stage had no lag at all.

Sometimes if the console gets hot - graphic lag creeps in.

You know when it's gfx lag...cos' the utras' animation go all slow.

Choosing to fight on the training stage - without the extra

background graphics can definitely help with that sort of lag.

Anyway...looking forward to some more great matches :)

didnt know that about training stage, guess it makes sense as less pressure on graphics. youv'e got some deep technological knowledge there bro.

as ive finished all my matches, im training my ken and a new character, wondering which other characters have very good attack i prefer attacking more, i love kens pokes and that kara throw, hes got such awesome recovery as well i can spammmmm shoryukens with less risk whereas akuma is a pratt

also am having lots of difficulty with kens ultra 2, was practicing hadoken cancel into it, wudnt come out it time, annoyyyying

do ne of u guys use pad by the way? i have that really nice arcade stick with ken and ryu on the front and the coloured buttons but i mainly use pad, im gonna make the full transition hopefully soon, inputs are sooo easy on stick but i love my pad

Do you use a 360 pad???

i can play with arcade stick but i have to change my game a lot with the stick cos of all that plinking business, so for now i stick with pad

btw guys, check this video out most of you probably seen it before but if not, its soo high level i thought, ryu vs akuma (daigo vs momochi) they both do not jump at all literally. lots of hadokens flying about but solid gameplay

btw the move done at about 3.40 is soo sikkkkk i was in shock, these guys probably getting arthritis later in life moving their fingers that fast.

first time i saw mago, daigo etc play i thought 'what garbage fireball spammers' lol, took me about a year to realise thats high level play. (its still spamming tho lool)

Don't know how you do it with that d-pad lol. I originally got SF4 on the ps3 and was using the madcatz pad for months. I tried a stick but couldn't use it at all having never used one before! So I stuck with the pad but with it being madcatz, it kept breaking so I had to keep sending it back to them for repairs. I got sick of it in the end so forced myself to try using a stick once more (this time with an octagonal gate) and after about 3-4 wks I got use to it. Been on a stick ever since! :) I have tried playing on a 360 pad and couldn't do it very well, I found the d-pad too small and cr@p tbh.

lol, i use the analog, the d-pad is impossible i also get those legendary blisters every street fighter player gets (u wanna know if somebody is cool, check their thumbs for blisters!). yeh i have to go cold turkey, i think i got a square gate. wow 3-4 weeks is quite fast i think it'll take me bit longer.

adz how often do these tournies run, when is the next one?

I'd say 3-4 weeks to actually be able to play reasonably with it, my game has never really relied on technical stuff like plinking or link combos. I'm more mix up and try out think the other person, rather then any pure skill. It works though as sometimes I know my opponent is better then me in terms of pulling of combos but I can still beat them over and over again. :p

Originally there were afew knockout tournys, which were good, but they finished a lot quicker. Plus once you are out, that's it. I can't remember who came up with the idea of running a league, but it worked ok for those of us who would be playing regularly anyway. That was until less and less people on these forums were playing the game, so I kickstarted this one by inviting afew people from my friends list who I may have played at some point through ranked mode. Suddenly we have 5-6 new members on here, all of who are pretty good at the game, so it seems there may be interest in quite afew more. The next one will be after Kreeeees tourny which he had planned this Jan I think, so maybe end of Jan early Feb time?

I started playing SF4 on pc with Keyboard lol, I could do Gens mk > hands loop 15 times in a row on training mode :D took a lot of practise.... I couldn't even do a hadouken consistently when I first got my stick but after a couple of weeks it feels very natural

That's a good match! But in my opinion this is some godlike Akuma play by Tokido, maybe the best I have seen Akuma being played
